I too used vpost to ship a Canon battery and some other miscellaneous stuff, no problems leh. That's why I was asking if the restriction was confined to batteries-only shipment. Hmmm.

Try Phottix remote control.
Although it only states a few Oly models, I have been using it on EPL2 and EP3 without any problem. Many online shops carry this product.

- anyone using 3rd party LH-55? saw some on ebay, but not sure if they're any good, and if one can erase the 3rd party label printing (eg. uWinka). not a big deal, but they just look/sound funny to me.
- also saw an LH-40 replacement on ebay. it's for the 14-42 II but i intend to use it for my 45mm. will this work? both are 37mm diameter. i'm interested in this because it's rectangular as compared to the original Oly LH-40B which is round.

I bought a uWinKa ULH-48 for my M.Zuiko 12mm f2. It is well made, fits my lens properly, and looks great. I haven't had it out in bright sunlight, so I can't say how well it works.

Hi guys, what are differences between the FL 600R and FL 36R? I know the former has 4 batteries while the latter has 2 batteries. One recharge faster than the other.

Is FL36R functionality wise same as FL600r? Is same and works on EM-5 then I would just buy FL36r instead.

If you are buying a new flash, you should wait for the FL-600R. The most 'complaints' about the FL-36R is the recharge time, the new FL-600R uses 4 AA batteries and according to the specs, recharge time is half that of the FL-50R.

On paper, the FL-600R flash looks like Olympus finally gets it's 'flash' accessories right.

Olympus just replied on their Facebook, the grip and flash (FL-600R) will be available May 12! Woo!

Got the grip and the flash in hongkong. Flash cost 2890hkd and the grip is 2000hkd. The grip does not comes with a batt and uses the original batt. Lotsa sliver em-5 which cost 8990kkd body only. Hongkong is not selling batt alone yet. Ep-11 not arrive yet also.

Ok. Not very sure on Japan. But vpost USA , Europe and china cannot ship batteries. For Japan they just say cannot ship anything deemed dangerous by the Japanese customs..

I know because my shipment got stuck in vpost USA when I tried to ship a standalone battery. They referred me to this FAQ.

Ep-11 is the eye cap. No batts in hongkong yet. Shop name is "Sunlite", out from MongKok E2 exit go straight and right turn.

Something to add about the grip. First piece on horizontal grip is heavy, the handle part internally is steel (I guess) and the surface is the same material as the thumb rest from the body. Second piece is totally plastic also same rubber feel as the thumb rest.

Based on the above, sgd prices may be around S$330 to S$350 for the grip.
