been there... the time should be -15 hours our time.. :) cant ask for a better weather and place to breathe fresh air. take time off to go to the parks and granvole island which you can see the icy mountains (forgot how to spell :sweatsm: )

try to take Cathay.. you wont want to take a crappy airline to go such a faraway place.. im talking about more than 20 hrs of flight!

not a place to shop but defintely to chill out and great sightseeing. happy holiday! :)
I've decided on China Airlines, cheap lah, no choice. Lay over at Taipei for one night so it isnt straight flight anyway, wont be that horrible. I've taken China Airlines to Taipei before, it wasnt that bad :)

Yes, its 15hrs diff.. I always have hard time chatting with friend over there on msn ;p

Been to vancouver quite a few times and each time the weather have been nice except for one winter where they have a freak winter storm.
11" of snow i think..the whole city came to a standstill.:)

yeah, go up the mountains. Grouse, Whistler and Blackcomb.:)
and go walk the Capilano suspension bridge.. nice experience.:)
Yup Yup! I wonder if the period I go snowing or not.. hahaha.. I doubt.. Up on the mountains I guess.. Cant wait to go!

Don't forget the food. Vancouver has some of the best Chinese food in the world.

What is good, you may ask. It depends, but one word will always work - Salmon.
Yea... Heard enough of the Salmon! Hahaha.. Got frd there, so no worries about food. Altho he always got cravings for burger.. Hahah.. His mum cooks well too.. So.. Yum ;p

capture plenty of nice pictures ok?:)
i might be going end of the year! :) definitely snow for me. lol

Was recommended to this hotel, right smack in town and its a pretty good deal! Gonna stay in that hotel instead, save time and transport to go downtown ;)

Those temp. vacation stay also not that cheap afterall and no privacy...

Vancouver is one of the nice small city to hang out, especially out around Robson/West End at night.

Have fun ... I always stay around Robson St ... so that I am as far away from my relatives in Richmond.

haha yeah.. robson street is in Downtown.. is like orchard of there...

Richmond is the place I usually hang out.. is full of chinese people, even malls are chinese... so you will not find yourself in an unfamiliar place.....

No, it's not like Orchard, nothing like it in Singapore.

Why do you want to go half way around the world and go to places just like home? Might as well stay home then?

Cheers:)

Btw, Thanks for the comments you gave me on my post... I really appreciate them

Robson is one of those street, you can feel life flowing through.

Not wanting to argue, but I really really do not like Richmond :)

I stayed in Richmond during my last trip 2 years ago. Can't really get used to it especially since I don't speak Cantonese. :(

As for downtown Vancouver... can hardly remember what it's like liao. The last time I was in the city was in 1994. *sigh*

Our hotel is at Robson!! Hee...

I had a hard time planning for this trip to Cananda....especially on transportation...finding the cheapest and most convenient isnt easy....greyhound good....u want the itinerary that i put up?

Planning for any trip isn't easy. But I had my fun creating my own itinerary for my Cambodia trip earlier this year. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Now, I'm stretching my mind to plan my self-drive tour with a GPS, Mapsource and a handful of guide books. Looking forward to the implementation phase. It seems like Jas has a friend there, so she'll probably have her trip well-planned by a local. Lucky. :)
