Guys,

I'm looking for some V mount batteries. Any recommendation for China brand V-mount battery and charger is much appreciated.

I'm looking at the Switt. Any user's feedback is most welcome.

thanks

if you're using cameras with that type of batt mount for work, it's definitely not worth it to save that bit in buying unreliable batts.

IDX may be great but I have used the Swit for some time and they are fantastic! Their size made them perfect for balancing with heavier lenses that I used with the XDCAM. I would highly rec them.:)

thanks guys.

I probably would go with the Switt. I mainly use it to power LED lights and Field monitor.
Do you buy your Switt from cine equipment? I'll be shopping for it after X'mas.

cheers

yup cinequip buy the new models 1 they have D-tap on top of the battery extra useful 4 battery lights :)

I have a few units of Beillen Batteries with the D-tap for sale. It is 160whr type.
Can PM me of you are interested.

I've been using Beillen 160 Wh batteries for four years already. Those ones are still working which might not be a case if you use them each day, anyway they are quite durable. They have the Power Tap output on the side for on-camera lights. I'm satisfied with the weight and the power, and price was the lowest in the market at the time I bought ;)

New batteries range from 65Wh to 190Wh to choose from, and the chargers are simultaneous, which is a feature I really like. I'd recommend.

Hi,

Here's my short review of the camera batteries I have bought and used over the last few years....

Sony BP-L60/L95 (used on PDW-700)
- Lightweight, quality materials
- Relatively higher price
- Consistent but not outstanding performance (BP-L60)
- The L95s had a problem of not able to hold a full charge, merely months of service, but Sony has promised me a deal.

Anton Bauer (used on DSR-1/PVV-3)
- Heavy, quality material (but slightly behind Sony)
- Expensive
- The Hytrons needed maintainence to keep it working
- Have a dead Dionic, due to leaving it in cabinet for too long without charging, irrecoverably dead, although badly used.
- Heavy and bulky, not worth it anymore...

SWIT (Anton-Mount used on DSR-1/PVV-3; NP-mount on DSR-PD150P/Z1P)
- Relatively lightweight (lighter than Anton, but slightly heavier than Sony equivalent)
- Affordable
- Reasonable material quality (its not cheapo-china feel, its really pretty good !)
- Very reliable, no problems with holding charge, whether with frequent or infrequent use.
- Truely value for money, if I needed multiple batts for backup or 3rd-party high capacities, I won't hesitate buying SWIT again.
- Anton/V-mounts may not charge with Sony/Anton Chargers even if dealer promised so...had to get charger along with batt, but still relatively cheap.
