UV filter

Its a never ending thing. The more money you have, the more you buy.

The more accessories you see, the more you buy.

The next 2 essentials that u might want to look into are a tripod and shutter release cable.

Then, stop at there! Enough liao.

CF cards?

The list goes on... :bsmilie:

Grad ND filter if u like landscape?

Evil evil evil... ...ya the ND filter would be great, but in 6 months after I've mastered the current equipment first.

I already have a memory card, but the seller did not give me a data transfer cable, CD... going to take a trip down to CSC.

I'm going for either flash photography with the 50mm or lens with IS so I can do hand held. I'm going to take the sissy way out and go for lighter & cheaper L lenses with IS so I can avoid the cumbersome tripod.

I'll probably get the 100mm but too bad... no 85mm 1.2 or 70-200 2.8s for me. Their reviews were tantalizing. :embrass: :sweatsm: ...maybe the 50mm 1.2 or 70-200mm IS 1.4 in the future. I hope I won't be compromising too much.

I'll remember to factor in the filters next time I buy these lenses. Thanks.

Which BW filters affect the image the least? Do they have just a protective filter with no visual effect?

I thought the cable is just normal small to big usb cable, can get anywhere in SLS for much cheaper price.

Also the software should be able to download....

your L will be worthless if used with cheappo filter...

B+W & Hoya will mostly be recommended... all my L's have B+W except for 100L coz i have spare Sunpak multi coated UV.

You make your 100L sound "worthless".

TS, since your lens is pretty good glass, get a UV filter that can match it's glass quality. (i.e. don't be cheap)

the sunpak im using is not the cheappo model & its multi-coated!:sticktong

Actually do you all think that a filter is necessary for those lenses whose front element retracts into the lens barrel. Like the 16-35 II and the 10-22. For keeping dust out?
