do i need a adapter to use the UV filter for my Oly C700?
how much will it cost and also the filter? which models?..

yes u need an adaptor. Can't remember the model for the original Olympus one, but most of us are using a third party one. Just ask for it, there is no model number also. We paid a variety of prices, some at $15 and a carrot-head paid $40 (a.k.a. me )

UV filter, model and brandless is regardless, just get one at the correct thread size with your adaptor. If you get the third party adaptor, it's 52mm. If you get the olympus adaptor, it's 55mm I think. Price of UV filter depends on brand and coating, and it varies from $10 (Hoya single coated) to $40++ (B+W multi-coated).
