using C41 kits

hey guys.. just started developing C41 for the first time. a quick question on the re-using of chemistry:
they say that 1 litre can do 12 rolls.. but as my tank needs 650ml for 2 rolls, and 350ml for 1 roll, i split the chemicals into two bottles.. one size with 350ml and one with 650.. and i plan on using them separately.

my question is, can i use these separately for 12 times each...i.e. can i re-use them 12 times? or does it work like the 350ml can be used 4 times (develop 4 rolls) and the 650ml can be used 4 times (develop 8 rolls) for a total of 12 rolls?

i know that the re-using stuff can vary, and maybe 1 litre can do more than 12 or maybe less... but in theory, which way does it work? (assume the chemistry wont expire in this period) - thanks!

tetenal C41 press kit - the one litre kit, n they say its good for 12-16 rolls.. but i wanna figure out how exactly to reuse it

yeah i read that table in the instruction manual but i dont get it really - wat does the "Rolls/sheets" part mean? basically does that table mean that i can use 960ml for 8 rolls of 135 film and 480ml for 4 rolls? i find it a bit confusing

I think it's straightforward.

in your case, with 650ml you can only develop 5 rolls reliably

(650/1000) * 8 rolls of 135 (36 exp) ~ 5 rolls

thanks oceanpriest..got one more question though,, maybe a bit stupid. with 650ml i can do 2 rolls in one go, in my tank. does this mean i can develop 5 times, and each time do 2 rolls (total 10 rolls)? or does it still mean i can only do 5 rolls anyway? first time doing this stuff and i wanna get all the basics (and try to stretch my chemicals as long as possible!) haha

yes, you should read it as how many rolls of film will exhaust the chemicals (5 rolls for 650ml) . Ucan do it in 5 times of 1 roll each or 3 times(2,2,1). try to accumulate yr rolls and use up yr chemicals within a short period of time (days).

thanks for all the help oceanpriest, and zguy guess i thought i could stretch the chemistry for more rolls than stated. lol. so the stated 12 rolls can only be achieved if i use the entire litre in one tank or something, without splitting it up? coz after splitting it up, seems like i can only get 8 rolls

hortwizer, im not in singapore - but i ordered the chemicals from B&H photo powder form chemicals so i guess its easier to order online. macodirect is another good site that i use for this stuff
