Here's a few of what i use...
1. Ccleaner - for registry cleanup and deletion of unwanted files
2. Firefox & Thunderbird - Webbrowser and Email Client
3. AVG - Antivirus
4. Adaware - Adware remover
5. Media Classic Player + K-lite package - Plays all kinds of video files
6. Filezilla - Ftp client
 

FileZilla - for your ftp needs (i prefer it to cuteftp or smartftp)
Joomla - (opensource content management system)
PDF995 - PDF995 acts as a printer port and whtever u send to pdf995(printer) gets created as a pdf file

Oh yeah, Joomla rocks!!!
 

Ya before I was gong gong creating my own webpages and templates, then I got introduced to Joomla! Wah! How all and every functions thinkable becomes available. I love Joomla!

how abt pcoslinux?

it's a pretty distro of Linux and it has cool 3d effects which mimics the looks of Windows and Mac.

In what way is it better than Ubuntu (please explain, for a Linux blurblob like me - I found Ubuntu very simple to install and very user-friendly)?

Hmmm I think every distro of linux have their own feature.
I choose Centos bcos their partly same as red hat.
I also ever tried Fedora Core not bad too, but still find Centos is more stable :)
 

Anyone know of any freeware that can play real media files? I dont want to install realplayer.
 

like to know some freeware to convert wav to MP3, MP3 to itunes format etc.
So far I found only shareware
