Used A700 or Brand New A550???

If you are taking mostly indoor shots at ISO400-1600, I am sure your A700 will get sold...

I recommend that you go for A550,
LCD is good and ISO performace is the best among the other alpha models.
With good ISO performance it makes indoor shooting alot easier!

As for the 7fps, it can be quite addictive and be prepared to spend more time deleting and selecting your images.

Wish that they would bring in the Japanese version with the black top. $8++ for a used A700 or $11++ for a brand new A550 ... it all boils down to how much you're willing to pay at this point of time and which features you deem more important. I think with recent closure of Alpha branded shops at MSC and Cathay sees the "end" of some partnership of Sony with these shops....

So it's not that "strict" anymore...since every shops now sell Alpha camera without any exclusivity.

As I mentioned before, any tom dick or harry who asked for e-quote or walk-in/call-in gets the same promo price, what's there to hide?
