apparently they used this product, the Phocus DSLR Adapter

looks interesting but also a little weird. probably only for those who are out to prove their skills.

Strange. I went to the Phocus site and nowhere does it mention DSLR lenses. Looks more like a filter adapter for adding filter threads to the iPhone. A DSLR lens adapter will need a ground glass element and lens mounting. But that just opens a whole can of worms, e.g. motor to vibrate to ground glass to remove the grain, prism to invert the inverted image. In the end it will cost less to buy an entry level HDSLR!

Oh, there's an additional adapter that adds on to the adapter :bsmilie:

Looking at minimum outlay of US$320...

The accessory also provides for the use of standard DSLR lenses, though this does require the purchase of an expensive adapter. The two- and three-lens variations of the product retail at US$99.95 and $134.95 respectively, while the DSLR lens adapter will set you back $219.95.

Noticed a similar brand that seems to have an even more extensive catalogue of products aimed at people who really want to shoot with their cellphones — http://www.actionlifemedia.com/.

By then one would have spent US$598, or US$369 without the VMP. Beyond bragging rights to be able to say "I shot this on an iphone", I guess it also appeals to those who absolutely need the mobility and need to travel super light. (Then again you really only save weight on the body, mic/lenses are still the same!)

Hahahahahaha I really hate people who brag about that.
