USB adaptor for SONYT camcorder

Hi guys..recently got the sony xr150e....

wanted to download the videos captured to an external HD but dont have the usb adaptor....called up sony and somehow they dun seem to be keen to bring in the cable VMC-UAM1...any other sources i can get this cable or can i get any aftermarket cables.. (i.e. non SONY).

Thanks a lot as i am going for a 2 weeks trip and dun think my SD card can last the whole trip plus dun want to lug along my laptop..

Did you call the sales office or the service centre? Whichever one you called, it is worth trying the other one.

Frankly speaking, the price of extra SD card may even be cheaper than the Sony cable you're trying to look for....
