just a thought.. would the pic be more balanced if i just removed the left bunch of planes? wouldnt it be too empty there?

The left roll planes are too sharp. the main plane can be very much larger and the sun can be lower on the horizon perhaps partly hidden by the plane? cause its too distracing, you have too many 'heros' here..

there should be some crew members on the runway to assist in the take-off right?

also, the area behind the afterburners should be a bit blurred due to the high temperature exhaust IMO...?

the area behind the afterburners..should there be something like this? where there is some "flame"

just my 2¢...great job you've done so far

hi evenstar,

the blur is there. just that the area is a bit too dark to see the difference..

as firestone mentioned, it's meant to be more of a fantasy sorta thing so maybe the crew will have to wait till i find some pictures that're in the correct angle and sufficiently high res to work with.

recently i'm up to 2 feet above my head with work.. dun even have time to listen mp3 so maybe version 3 will have to wait a bit. hehx

Oooohhhhh!!!! F-14Ds.... nice...;)

Small point bro, during take-off, the carrier will deploy the back-blast doors to increase the thrust of the plane. Unless the picture shows the plane already in motion, the back-blast doors will cover the image of the afteburners and the back of the plane. If you want to show the plane in motion, I guess you can add more steam around the catapult near the front undercarriage. Juz my 2 cents worth.

Kelvin

i believe JBDs arent meant to increase thrust as jet engines don't "push" against the air like what many perceived, instead JBDs are meant to prevent other planes and those onboard from getting burnt by the engine exhausts =)
