I always had dinner with my wife at a coffeeshop opp Jade. They have buffet steamboat at only $12 per head! :thumbsup:

Try Suntec City, ("Kuali", I think, under the escalators at the convention area). Monday ~ Thursday dinner @ 20.80 nett. Weekends higher..
Steamboat and the variety is is quite reasonable ...
For certain cards, there is a 15% discount (POSB ATM card can but they don't have netts. I think Citybank cards and one or 2 other cards...)

...Hilltop (near Jurong birdpark). Nice and reasonable set meals.
Hong Leong Garden (west coast). Nice and quite authentic Jap food. If Japanese frequent these places, they should be quite ok.
However, I think the prices can't match those suggested above. Go to these places for the ambience, feel, and qualty.

Wah auntie Karyinn, ask until here ah? ;p Try the steamboat in some 'ma po tofu' chinese restaurant somewhere opp thomson plaza. they have a hot/sour fish soup with fish slices in it.
i used to dine in kuishin bo during feast celebrations...
oh.. they also have so-called the steamboat --> nabeya!
and their authentic japanese buffet... bom bom bom... we are kuishin bo.. bom bom bom...
i find their food nice wor...
and every 15 mins when u hear their promo songs.. u can queue up for limited baked lobsters ... for the first 10 - 15 customers... pretty fun...
only $38+ per head on weekends... at suntec city
