so are scubacam and oceanicfocus authorised dealers for nexus? or only www.nexushousing.asia is the authorised dealer for nexus in singapore?

confused by that "grey market" warning

Although Scubacam's website does not list it as being a Nexus dealer, they will still bring it in for you. That is how I got my nexus housing. You can still e-mail them to ask for quotations.

Have asked around. Apparently the only 'authorized' dealer outside of japan is nexus usa. Most other shops get their stocks direct from japan.

Just my 2 cnt.

Get Nikon D90, with tokina lens 11-16 f2,8 (WA) and Nikon 60mm macro. Total will cost u around 3k for new set. And if u dont mind can get around 2.2k for 2nd hand.
Forget about D40,D80,D5000 or even D3000.

Bro, the 11-16mm is poor underwater compared to its land usage. Do u mean the fisheye 10-17mm?

Alvin, there are a couple of authorised dealer for Nexus Japan outside the country. Thought you knew since u got ur new Nexus housing stuff from Taiwan

There is one in Thailand, Singapore (Nexushousingasia: though no one seems to get from the Russian, Grig), Taiwan. The Taiwan guy (www.fun-in.com.tw) advertised in SDAA magazine as authorised dealer for Nexus.

Scubacam and Oceanic Focus used to/or still get their stuff from Taiwan dealer (www.fun-in.com) in the event that customers want Nexus.

For people who want Nexus stuff: Get directly from Taiwan as the 2 companies here sells you more expensive as they are middlemen. Me and Sci080628 got our housings from fun-in.com at a few hundered bucks cheaper than what were quoted to us locally. Another indicator is that Alvin is getting his Nexus stuff from Taiwan even though he has been buying from Oceanic Focus for long time. I believed this tells us the price differential.

No doubt they are all dealers/authorised dealers for Nexus. I think my concern was that the nexusasia website is claiming to be the 'official' dealer for asia/singapore as the name of the website address would have you assume (plus the warning about 'grey'market products). But from what i know they are all just normal dealers whereas it seems the USA one is an officially sanctioned kind of thing approved by Japan HQ to advertise as so? Not sure about it cos i'm just hearing 2nd hand info.

yes, exactly. you would assume that the website was the "authorised dealer" since it was warning about the unauthorised ones.

anyways, can't afford a nexus, so it's a moot point!
haha

Has anyone purcahed directly from Nexushousing asia ?. I am confused as to who is the rep for Nexus in singapore is or if there is really one at all, there seems to be a few people claiming that they are. There is no phsical address on web site and I am assuming this means there is no shop front, are they a reputable dealer ?
