8GB $47

Where can these prices be found at?

Did not see much bags there.. only saw bagman's stall and some Tamrac bags in part of another store..

I think you will have a better selection of bags from the usual shops.. :)

I went last night... really not worth travel all the way to look out for bag... I dun like Bagman logo design but it got nice cushion inside. tamrac... not so nice leh

This pc show is quite disappointing.. the memory cards arent that cheap and some major players like Nikon/Fuji all not at show. Even IT stuffs also not that much, lotsa TVs, GPS!

Western Digital, with 3 years warranty. Bought from the shop at Level 4 (forgot the name, its at the back)

Thanks, Thats what I'm aiming at. Being using a WD mybook 500Gb and just loved its performance.

U are right. Can only see Kingston, sandisk for CF card. You probably see more at SLS or Funan.

Kind of disappointing... but still able to find some good buy if you care to go around a few times.

......................not too many small players as I am more interested in buying little smal gadgets etc

Taken at 1400 hrs today.

went to IT show today around 3 PM...less crowded than i expected...also got more space to walk around so it's a good thing.

Bought a new 500GB external HDD for only 129$....not bad

simi brand?

The New Paper: Vosonic VP8860 Multimedia Storage Viewer, 250G $599, 320G $679. 4.3",RAW support, Multi card compatibility, video player/recorder,voice recoder FM radio, direct printing. East Gear, Poison......

Crazy Singaporeans :bsmilie:

Personally if those of you who look around - There is a better bargain for $132 (excuse the crappy housing) with a seagate 500gb 32mb cache (vs WD 500gb 16mb cache).

Part timer knowledge zero, parking lot zero, wallet also zero

:bsmilie:

surprisingly, we have not heard any ridiculous PTmers' 'sales' talk horror stories from CSers yet. no one can find a PTmer who can top the ISO = Image Stabliser ON story from a couple of years ago? ;p

I went afternoon
lots of untrained part timers with near zero IT knowledge
they come to you at the stall and and ask "can I help you" in Mandarin.

When you actually ask ....
oh blank stares and ummm... they ask a few other part timers..
all don't know.....

so the umpteenth time they ask "wo ker yi pang ni mah?"
I just say "No you can't"
which is a fact

Agreed. Was at the WD portable hard disk stall. Even when I asked in mandarin if it would take in memory cards directly, she said "I do'nt know" ("Wo Bu Zi Dao"). Only knew how to give flyers to me & smile smile smile.

Soon Singapore will really be part of China liao (as in the other thread when travelling overseas & people ask which part of China is Singapore in)

Not this year, but some time back
Sales staff pointed to the tripod jack under the camera when I asked if the camera had a hot shoe.

wah you all better not come to my side and bomb with such questions. *stress*

Ok just to update

Went up and down twice to compare and re-compare.
result: NOTHING MUCH TO COMPARE.

BUT BUT BUT!

1. BestBargain Shop at Level 6 seems to have the best price
SanDisk Extreme III 16Gb - 200
SanDisk Extreme III 8Gb - 100
SanDisk Extreme III 4Gb - 76

Ya you know what to get.

Harddisk wise I personally got a 1Tb WD network one.
Am busy uploading all my ... Erm erm erm .... FILES into
it. but seriously look out for the 2.5" external HDD deals.
should get if you just wan something small light and cheap.
Seagate 250Gb at $139

Side track a bit.
was just PRANCING at SONY store looking at VAIO notebooks
this salegirl come over cheerful trying HARD ... ya HARD to
sell their A350. Then I point to my D200 AW bag and say
no need I got better camera inside. hehe
But then she still say about how good their memory stick
blah blah blah vs SD card. so I say my D300 uses CF sorry.
and then just give a huge grin and say thanks though.

Personally no much of a fan of sony since their stuff are
all proprietary. But its just me.

The 1 terror byte HDD price is the same like the IT show in March.

Now, those in the know will not touch the 500 GB HDD and go straight for the 1 terror byte.:bsmilie:
