Atlantis, thanks for the update. Like that no need to order from the net already.![]()
With the favourable exchange rate for the US dollar, it may be worth it to buy online, even factoring in shipping charges. Can also save on shipping charges by going thru VPost. Currently excahnge rate is about US$1=S$1.38. Price of the book is about S$30.36, excluding shipping charges.

Personally, I think you can get more Canon-specific information by subscribing to eos magazine:
http://www.eos-magazine.com/
Unfortunately only one issue per quarter so you only get 4 magazines a year. But I learned many things related to Canon like how their flash works with respect to the various EOS camera bodies both digital and film.
You can buy the last quarter issue from Canon Vivocity showroom for $10.00 only, actually cheaper than the subscription. After that you can judge whether it is worth subscribing or not.
Can you autograph my copy? :hearts:
Sure, but it may decrease the resale value ... (!)
I'm the author; the book covers a lot of ground about photography as it relates to Canon dSLRs. It's most certainly not just a Canon "brochure" ... I do love Canons and make no qualms about it, but the book has a lot of detail and information about photography technique as well as the science and technology involved in digital photography and photographic optics.
It also goes into using Digital Photo Professional, although I typically use ACDSee Pro (!) for most of my workflow for Olympic sports photography, etc.
If anyone wants a PDF of the table of contents, please email me and I'll send it to you.
I can certainly see by how the cover is presented and because of the limited description on Amazon, etc. that you don't really have a good sense of what the book is really about.
Thanks, will drop in to Canon Vivocity to check out the magazine. Is the past quarter issue always available. Can one go there every quarter to buy the past quarter's issue?
Actually paying $10 is cheaper than subscribing from the UK. Unfortunately you can only subscribe locally if you belong to the Canon Professional club.
My subscription had already ended so I hope I can get the current issue from Vivocity but the last time I visited there they still had the Oct-Dec 07 issue.
Really, this magazine is the best if you want to know in-depth detail of your Canon cameras and lenses.
Wow thanks, I am thrilled! How can I get an autographed copy?
You can send the book to me via snail-mail, I will autograph it, and send it back. I will include an autographed world championship fencing print to anyone who wants one. Also, because I'm sponsored by ACD Systems, if you want a fully functional (but time-limited) free demo disk of ACDSee Pro, I will throw that in as well.
Please email me privately and I will send you the address to use. You can email me at timacheff@yahoo.com or serge@fencingphotos.com.
thot you guys/gals may be interested. available for pre-order at Amazon.
