To the mods, I would like a clearer explanation on the removal of my thread Tribute to Tuck Loong
I do not see how the thread has contravened points 1,5,6, except for Buckteeth himself making accusations online which I do not even need to respond to because they're the ramblings of paranoia...
If you wish to remove anyone's postings I suggest you remove his rather than my whole thread which is essentially a photo posting. If you feel that my posting was problematic then I suggest you remove every single thread that has someone's name linked to it.

More worrying is the preference to remove threads rather than close them, which basically makes any posting of mine a waste of time.
I really do not appreciate this.

Wanna bring this over to Hardware Zone?

You have blasted a Newspaper for publishing your pictures without consent and even made the editor came to CS to apologise and yet I see you shooting people on the street and posting their pictures in a open forum such as CS. Double Standard? and you say I am paranoia?

Why dont you respect CS admin's decision or you just wanna stir up more troubles for everyone? Let me know which is which? You think this discussion will be a positive contribution to CS? Think before you go put down others. What have you done to help on this issue?
Continue to support Drumma in his shooting styles? Move on

If you wanna continue. We can always do it at HWZ EDMW. Let me know when you open a thread there. :) Can all migrate this discussion over to HWZ...and we will all get interviewed for front page.

I think that will be the best positive contribution to CS for all your followers? Think first before you action.

1. Actually we do not owe you any explanation. By even posting on CS we consider that you have read and accepted the terms of use.
"While we cannot monitor all the postings in the chat rooms, forums, photo galleries and other public areas, we reserve the right (but assume no obligation) to delete, move, or edit any postings that come to our attention that we consider unacceptable or inappropriate, of for any other other reasons, which we need not disclose, and which need not be reasonable."

2. Not every thread that has someone's name linked to it has the intent of mocking another member. If you come across such a thread that we have missed please bring it to our attention and we will deal with it accordingly.

3.Your statement that we prefer to remove rather than closing threads is an incorrect generalization.

4. Not all your posting are deleted - only the ones that are deemed to be inappropriate. So you have made yet another incorrect generalization by saying that we make any posting of yours a waste of time. We do not appreciate that kind of postings also.

5. We welcome and appreciate contributions that make a positive difference to our community.

The newspaper breached copyright, i.e. broke the law. Shooting people on the street or in any other public place for that is not against the law - so where's the comparison. Certainly no double standard.

For commercial purposes? Being paid a prize money, editorial rates? There are many parameters to consider before the case can be generalised. How are the public within the picture being portrayed? Are they very demeaning? Is it someone famous?

Well we can always bring this over to HWZ/Stomp for discussion. I am sure there will be a lot contributions there.

ok folks, like I said, case is closed. No point OTing over here. I am closing this thread
