Underwater Casing

Hei hi all,

Was really impressed by the great pictures you all took underwater. Im now into diving and a amtuer photographer. My first digital cam was a Pentax 330GS. All the pics i saw on this forum make me feel very tempted to go into underwater photography.

Now this is my problem, hope you all can help me. I was wondering if I could find an underwater casing for my model Pentax 330GS, cos now really dun have the money to buy a camera that i know have underwater casing. Was searching real hard for a casing for my cam, but couldnt find one.

Anybody know where to get a casing that fits my camera?
Or if not, anyone know any unorthodox method that can "waterproof" my camera?

to answer yr question, great to hear that u enjoy the photos here..
me too.. which thats y i'm still bumping around here... ;p

hmm.. as for how to house yr pentax... or so called "waterproof" it..

u can always chk with those casing manufacturer to giv u a quote on making customised housing. could be very costly though.

if u wanna to try those unorthodox methods.. might as well giv me yr camera.. hee.. flooding of cameras happens even to those with proper housing.. let alone those methods.. unless u dun mind to risk losing it.. ;p

Do do a search on past topics.. as many many ppl asked similar qns b4.. Think that explains y no one reply u till now.. ;p

According to Digideep.com, your camera doesn't have a housing.
If budget is a contraint, maybe you would like to dive more before thinking of a cam

Actually I think digideep also not all that accurate.

eg. Panasonic FX1 do have a casing, I have seen pple using it.
(no, not customized ones)

Also the Casio Z-50 is supported by the same casing as Z-40.

Neither of this is listed in digideep. Probably they concentrate
on Canon & Olympus.
