underwater camera case maintenance

hi fellow bottom dwellers,
just want to know if you have any tips on maintaining underwater camera case during use & storage? like remove O-ring when not in use et. al.

When installing the o-rings, do not use excessive grease. The grease is meant to make the o-ring subtle and not to aid water-resistance. Ensure there is no cut, dirt, hair and other foreign particles on the o-ring.
When removing 0-ring, do not use sharp object to avoid cut and abrasion.
Rinse your housing thoroughly before storing away. Work the controls and buttons while submerged in fresh water to remove any salt deposit.
Before storing away, remove the o-ring and store in a bag/box.
