Haha i think i am beginning to understand....
FF does have its advantages....
1) full efficiency in utility of minimal distance of lenses.
2) bigger sensors = more details = more pro.

i think this sums up mainly why full frame seems to be more popular with pros! haha i think crop sensors are still my way for the time being.... (no budget...)

KY1977 is right technically to say that the 5D is not full frame.

the sensor size is slightly smaller than that of the 1D series. just a wee bit smaller. few mm is small, but technically, it is not qualified to be called full frame. it is imperfect.

sensor size of 1D series = 36mm x 24mm
sensor size of 5D = 35.8mm x 23.9mm

5D is not perfect.

here's the proof for 5D: http://www.robgalbraith.com/public_files/Canon_EOS_5D_White_Paper.pdf

for a summary of all sensor sizes: http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-EOS-1Ds-Mark-III-Digital-Camera-Review.aspx

This is what I meant. But no itention to cause any conflict here though.
