Under exposed D70

From my experience, custom curves seem to affect both raw and jpg.

However, if u used raw and custom curves, u will need to use NC instead of Photoshop CS for processing. It seem that CS does not understanding or recongize the settings of custom curves...

Another advantage of using NC when shooting RAW is that if you don't like the custom curve you used during shooting, it allows you to "reset" the curve to default (Normal is the option to choose, I think) and then you can customise the curve to your delight.
