I agree they are harder to find anywhere in the world. I used to know a place in Hong Kong where they sold them and I bought from them regularly. I hardly go to Hong Kong anymore in favour of coming to Singapore. Hopefully someone who still uses these rare items will be able to help.

U can try local shopping stores like Isetan, metro etc. Look in the babies accessories section, iirc those qtips are made from japan.

I prefer the rigidity of the wood rather than the 'flexy sticks' which are essentially flexible plastic sticks made by the Q-Tips company. Used to be a time when all you could buy were the wooden stick variety... but now they hardly exist.

I brought a small supply with me from Canada as I found a small place in Toronto's Chinatown but my supplies are limited and I'm running out while here in Singapore. I know that someone out there has an answer for me. It is just a matter of time. The bros and sisters of ClubSnap have never failed me yet.

Thanks Gary. From past experience Isetan, Metro, etc. usually carry only the flexy plastic sticks but I'll have another look. It's been a year since my last stay in Singapore so things may have changed.

My guess is that the 'wooden' variety may exist in a small local shop and likely imported from China.

You could check the pharmacies or drug/medical supply stores as well. They could also be labelled as Cotton Tip applicators, usually about 6 inches in length of the wooden stem.

Some of the GP clinics could still be using wooden Q tip as swab sticks of sorts but I think you might not be able to purchase from them.

Otherwise Daiso has the hard plastic stick where you can roll on a bit of your own cotton wool to use ... I saw them come in a pack of 3 sticks for $2

Ha! Ha!... Yeah, I find it frustrating too when they break especially during a cleaning. I end up with one half still in my hand and the other half in my ear! Fortunately for me it does not happen all that often.
