I read thru the menu yesterday and i doubt there is a limitation in SG ones, think it does only apply to EU.

There is no limits for AVCHD, only the 2gb for mjpg.

Yeah, i like to know about this too. Anyone know there is an OEM battery out there I can get as a spare as new batt cost around 86 here.

I only use AVCHD as i dun intend to edit or transcode that much.
Tz7 batt is chipped, no OEM yet.

I just bought mine at 649 at Harvey Norman. Paid $70 more, but addtional 8G card, mini-tripod, cleaning kit and LCD protector....and payable at 0% over 12 months charged to credit card. Good deal if you find value in freebies and 0% installment plan. :bsmilie:

I bought mine at Harvey Norman too.
I paid $555 for a black one with 8G card & a case.

$580 at MS Color as of yesterday, incl 8GB Lexar SDHC Class 4 and case. By comparison, they also quoted LX3 at $679 with extra battery, SD card, and some other junk.

Comes with TZ7, 8GB SDHC, screen protector, mini-tripod, cleaning kit and the Lumix case.

Got it at AP@SLS for $560 yesterday. Panasoinc 8G SD card + Lumix casing.

Paid extra $10 for screen protector and $35 for third-party spare battery.
