Maybe you would like to try something like this ? Get the Meiji Milk or some fruti juices plastic bottles , cut it the size for your lens front & hook it on .

This great idea really works ! From our Bro excelglsi .

Just wondering...how far away was the front element from the spiders? I know reverse macro tends to have a really short working distance...but I duno how short it was in this case =p

Normally within 10cm depending on which lens you used to reverse . You really need to have quite a good eye sight to look through the VF when using this method ...

Wow, great idea! I shall try it out next time.
It eliminates the need to hv an external flash mounted, more portable, as in, easier to manoeuvre around.
Thx, bros Ming & excelglsi!

As Ming mentioned, it's within 10cm.
When I was using 50mm reversed, working distance is around 10cm.
When using my 35-70mm zoom at 35mm, it's around 5cm, I think. (very near! so scared the spidy will jump on me. :bsmilie:)
