I already have a product which let me use my smartphone as a intervalometer...

Called Trigger trap... I bought the dongle from a guy here in clubsnap.. The app is free and it let me shoot time lapse, motion sensor, seismic and noise triggers.. Even use 2 phone for wireless trigger... Dongle cost me 35 as i recall and it works great... You should try it out rather than wait for this kickstarter..
