The buddha said "your thoughts create your reality" simply means if you think the world's is out to cheat you then it's most likely to encounter such a situation.
Also realise that human beings have a tendency to selfishness unless you meet an already enlightened person.Get real and stop whining. It's all about the journey
you take, everybody's on one. What will it be,you decide.

happened to me once, juz to share witheveryone. I sold a d60 tghter with its kit lens.
a day later, the buyer called and told me the af wasnt working on the lens, so i said sorry i dun do personal warranty and u did checked everything on the spot. So she passed her phone to her colleague who immediately asked rudely for my full name. She insulted me and said i was out to scam her fren who doesnt noe anything. She continued to threaten to post my nickname and phone number on clubsnap, and let everyone noe i am a scammer. So i told her you can go ahead or choose to meet up and let me have a look at the lens. She said, ok let's do the meetup however at their workplace at kallang or somewhere, cant remb, :embrass:. i was at Jurong at the point of time so i said nt possible. Then she claimed to be a professional and said the lens is not sharp cos af nt working. Apparently af is intermittent. I patiently told her to check for focus at infinity etc.. in any case, the phone was passed btw the two of them and i could hear the buyer's colleague shouting in the background.

Guess wat's next, the phone hung up cos her phone was out of batt. My gfren with me was pretty shaken by the whole phone call saga cos it lasted very long, and affected the whole day out.

at nite, buyer called me and told me, sorry realize AF WAS NOT ON SERVO CONTINUOUS mode... wat else can i say other than accept her apology. the next day, she msged me to tell me that her colleague apologized. In any case, if you r the colleague reading this, i wpuld appreciate greatly if u dun hide behind the scene and apologize here. The camera is a d60 with 18-55 vr lens, with full box. Both of you (them) are in food magazine industry.

Lesson i learnt here, sellers not always wolves and buyers nt always sheeps. Juz as buyers protect themselves, i urge every seller to protect themselves.

Sorry for above OT, my ans to qn is dun need to have seller/buyer rating. Sounds gd to have but ultimately not foolproof, in economic sense marginal cost exceed marginal benefit, so no go..

They should be using PnS all the time... never expose to DSLR before, specially the settings of DSLR

Agree with you that a rating is not practical,as I said in my post#21 if one is moral and ethical in behaviour then the situation will balance itself. It may not be instantaneous but will settle in time. The fact is that they have apologized to you privately but you still want a "black and white" here means your ego still need to be dominant, the ego does not deal with higher reality, only your inner/higher self does.Practice meditation and create peace within yourself, that is the higher path.Know the Tao is oneness, eventually all must return. Not everyone is enlightened but if you are fortunate enough to be then have compassion for those that try to find the way. That is the reality here.Hope this helps.

I agree that there might be some dishonest sellers. As for me, I will avoid dealing at night time but if due to work commitment which I can't, I will bring a torchlight along.

Even eBay is not foolproof, and they have been at it for the longest time. KEH also not foolproof. And the singapore market is too small to sustain a model like KEH.

Well,. ebay is not free and makes money out of their services. CS is free. You are always welcome to buy and sell on ebay instead of CS.

 she dint apologised privately, she did it indirectly which is the key. Ego dominant? This dint appear as a new thread or shortly after it happened. This is to warn all sellers that buyers can be a problem as well. As we all can see, most ppl jump to defence of buyers, perpetually portrayed as victims.

Please do not bring religion into the matter, i am a free tinker and i respect all religions in their practices. I hope u will understand, religious advice/ promotion not appropriate here. And u assumed much about me, know ur limits.

I'm very active in an Audio forum called "head-fi.org", and they have a simple way to do it. They have a sub-forum called 'member feedback'. Every member who wants to keep his feedback sets up a thread there, and then directs buyers or sellers to post their comments in the thread. When we do BnS, we say, 'our feedback is at this page'. It's simple and effective because it has comments, not just a rating.

Of course the mods can track whether they are clone accounts. Furthermore, it's not a definitive proof that the seller is good or bad but rather a rough review of the seller
