hmm.... got a question.....
me new to photography.....
this question may sound stupid....
but does most tripods sold in the market fits all cameras???
Or is there a specific model of tripod for some cameras??
me using the minolta dimage s304.....
any recommendation for tripods??

Cathay's having a promotion for the SLIK U8000. It's a reasonable tripod for your DC.

I am using SLIK U8000 ... cheap , good , tall and stable ...

when looking for a tripod...
lookout for for its weight to height ratio...
if it extends to a great height but too heavy...it's ain't good enough..
of course u may want to look into the price factor...
but as a guide line.....you will not want lug more than a kg heavy tripod around..

I already have.. SLIK U8000.

If possible try to get a manfrotto or maybe the SLIK DX340 Pro (ard $130)....me using this tripod and another gitzo..

The SLIK one is quite light and stable...

Get a good tripod....dun compromise....imagine what happens when a strong gust of wind comes..

And your tripod topples with your camera ontop of it, wham! Ouch.... Happened to me... Minolta Dimage 5. But, lucky for me, not a scratch.
