Only 1 Benro A300EX, happy so far

Using a Nikon Ballhead tripod. Its heavy at 2+ kg.

3 tripods so far.

#1 - Freebie Canon tripod that was a complete waste. I should've taken the bag instead.

Here's what I use it for now:

#2 - Yong Nuo Gitai 3-Sect Tripod (my review: http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=433241)

Not too bad, served me well. When I got my 70-200, I upgraded:

#3 - Manfrotto 190xprob + 486RC2 , a standard setup

My current setup. Study enough for all my applications. But not light enough. One day I'll get a GT1541t / GT2541 + Q3T head setup.

And with a RRS Quick release clamp perhaps? ;)

Been using Manfrotto 055ProB + 322RC2 for the past few years;
Just got a Benro C-069M8+B00 yesterday for travel.

Yes CF, but I think it's only very slightly lighter than the Al one.

I bought it online from Ebay, about AU$350

about S$470. I saw one benro recently less than $200 stated as CF, dont know is it real.

i have been through (from my vague memory):

1) slik sprint 3 way

2) ppcp pro tripod

3) stetige from ppcp

4) calumet something tripod

5) manfrotto 725b (still using)

6) giottos 3261 + mh5001 (using, by far the sturdiest so far, i would say on par with the manfrottos i have gotten the chance to play with so far)

1-4 the legs fell apart, must be the extended saltwater exposure. :bsmilie:

awesome! :)

i guess Giottos is less popular here in singapore... don't know why? Thought it is better/on par with the quality of Benro/Manfrotto.. hmm...

It is as good, if not better than Manfrotto/Benro, imho. Just compare their MH1301-652C ball heads to the equivalent Benro/Manfrotto 488RC2. It beats the competition flat.

Sadly, their distributor was CP as well. And ever since taking up Manfrotto, Cathay seems to stop distributing Giottos, no?

Manfrotto 190CXPro3 with Arca-Swiss Z1. I personally feel that a having a good ballhead is as important as getting a good tripod.

They all have a part to play.

I think it's good so we know who to look for to ask things :D

4. Manfrotto 190xprob + 488RC2 - my current setup. Solid as a tank, heavy like a tank.

agree :bsmilie:

but mine's a little lighter since I'm using 486

manfrotto 190cxpro4 + 488rc4 ballhead...

been through the 190xprob...

Benro travel angel c 269... It's really portable, and handles my heaviest setup, 70-200 really well...
