According to the web-site its 1.5m, so it's about an average (1.6-1.7) Singaporean guy's neck or face-level (1.7m) ?

Just got my U9000 extended to full height.. I'm about 1.8m tall, and my camera is at my neck-level.

Somebody did mention $10 cheaper at MS Color.

i got it(U9000) at $75 too at CP, but someone quoted it's $55 at AP, with the bag thrown in.

I just realised the sliks have this windup column? does the manfrotto have that?
yeah I had the normal tripod with 3 stage pan, pain, when the cam is heavy and unbalanced (300mm).
confusing online cos the ads usually just state the legs without col extension...

how much is the manfrotto with ball head? maybe if I skip buying something else first..

The Manfrotto 190 does come with a center column. However, its not the windup type. It has a locking screw though.

Just go down to Cathay and check it out yourself. No amount of screen searching will beat seeing the real thing.

A 2nd hand 055Pro will cost between $100-$130. If you get a ball head it will cost about $70+(brand new 308RC). Dagger is selling her 190ProB with 308RC ballhead for $150. Maybe you can have a look.

the 190 plus a 308RC has a height of about 170cm w/o extending the centre column. just fully extend the legs.
