You need at least 3 weeks in order to make your trip from South to North enjoyable. But if you have time limits, you may only be able to visit HCMC and Ha Noi as well as their suroundings.

If you don't have time, just visit Ha Noi and the surroundings. The weather there will be nice around Nov and Dec.

But I'm very pleased to join you if you choose HCMC!

FYI: There's a flight everyday from HCMC to Nha Trang by Pacific Airlines, an budget airline.

I'd personally find Nha Trang an over-touristy place. Prefer other spots like Ca Na, Phan Rang, Cam Ranh, My Son, Bau Sen, etc. But that's a personal preference.

Due to $$ and time constraints, and the fact that this is my first trip to Vietnam, I would be choosing the south side. Going to the north would require many more days.

no its been cancelled. . . but i would say postponed is more like it. . to a more favourable time.

Apparently Jetstar now is having a very good promotion. I dont mind going early next year.
prices are as cheap as $3. .
