Tri-X 400 at ISO3200?

Long story short: I had to push one roll of Tri-X to 3200.

I'm wary about sending it to a lab to process (I usually go to Triple D) but I haven't tried developing my own film yet.

Will the lab be able to handle the 3 stop push well, or should I store the roll in the freezer and develop it myself when I get the hang of developing bnw?

Opinions appreciated, TIA :)

I had a similar experience.. i tried it with T-Max 400 Pushed to 3200.. Would be developing myself later. Hope it'll turn out well :dunno:

haha...post your results here!

haha...post your results here!

I did my film already.

i had two of them,

Ilford Delta 400 pushed to 800

and

Kodak T-Max 400 pushed to 3200

but the result for the T-Max was quite disappointing for me..As the result after i develop on the T-Max is very Low in contrast VS Ilford which is as very "Shiock" contrast:cry:.

But the lack of contrast on the T-Max was made up when i'm printing so final result wise, still not too bad.. "Fightable" with the Ilford. HAHA!

But the ISO on the pushed T-Max is quite "friendly"
Its quite nice to me.. HAHA!
I like the Grain. Beautiful;p

But shooting @ 3200 is really a joy.. The speed was WHOA! hahaha!:bsmilie:

fotohub uses d-76 as its chemical, it knows about pushing, so all you have to do is to instruct them to push 3 stops. it will cost a bit more $$ but it is worth it. Heck, they even know how to push C-41 B&W films like XP-2 Super.

With some luck and T-Max developer, I am pretty pleased with these results:

However, you ought to seek someone who can devleop your film in push-developers for best resutls. No doubt HC-110 or other generic chemicals will work too, but to a different result, good or bad YMMV.

Did u edit this pictures?

The contrast looks great ;)

Sorry I didn't push to 3200 but I tried EI1600 and the contrast looks good too. Grain is noticeable if you scrutinise it but from a layman's point of view, it arguably adds to the aesthetics.

Overall quite happy, but I just wish for a bit more shadow detail. Anyone know how to get it back?

I remember my dev times and variables. HC-110 at Dil. B for 16 min at 20ºC. 30s continuous agitation initially followed by 10s every minute.

sorry if off-topic:

this picture is pushed from iso 1600 to 6400.
