As mentioned, COL will be organising an overseas phototrip, hopefully with participation from the photo clubs/forums from the other regional countries. We're inviting participants from

A regional photo journey by photoenthusiasts from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand & Vietnam.

Proposed Details:
Date : starts on a Friday and ends in Singapore on a Tuesday.
Likely slots, 14-18 Jul 06, 29 Jul - 01 Aug 06 or 05-08 Aug 06.
Particpants : 80-100 photographers in total. 20 photographers from each country namely : Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand & Vietnam.
Budget breakdown : Not more than S$600.
Who can take part : Any photoenthusiasts who have the minimal equipment to get great pictures.
Details:
1. All land package including accommodations, breakfast, airport transfer, transport, guides, picture permit, pass for the Angkor Archelogical Park, boat ride charges has been estmated to come up to about US$300 (abt S$486). Visa to Cambodia to be settled by individual, cost abt S$40 to do in Singapore's Cambodia consulate, or US$40 to do at Siem Reap Airport. This is a best estimate, will be confirmed when all details are out. All other expenses is at the individual's discretion.
2. All itinerary has been planned by Siem Reap Photographers & owners of guesthouse. The details of the guesthouse can be found in
www.peaceofangkor.com. The itinerary has been tried out by Tuck Hong last week (who went up there to recce) and have been very fantastic according to feedback. The committee will update the itinerary once confirmed.
3. All participants who go on the trip finally are required to contribute at least one best print for the Photo exhibition after the trip within the next 6 months. The prints for the exhibition may need to go through a judging process. However, all rights to the images will still be vested with the respective photographer. COL will however, have the rights to use any of the selected photos for the marketing or promotion collaterals for any of the COL events without any payments to the photographer.
4. Any participant who desired to attend this trip will have to be on either one or both the following committees:
a.
Trip Organising Committee
- Involved with the planning and coordinating of the trip within Singapore and with the regional photographers who will be attending.
b.
Trip Photo Exhibition Committee
- Involved with the planning and coordinating of the photo exhibition within the next 6 months after the trip.
IF U ARE NOT PREPARED TO COMMIT YOUR TIME & RESOURCES TO BE IN EITHER COMMITTEES, WE WOULD CONSIDER YOU ON A WAITING LIST OR SIMPLY DON;T SIGN UP. PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN T PEOPLE WHO ARE READY TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE TRIP.
5. We would only consider participants who have a minimal camera equipment that could capture images of reasonable quality to be eligible for the trip. We do not discriminate against film or digital users nor 35mm Medium format or Large format users. Handphone camera, consumer camera users will be put on a lower priority should you be interested to sign up. Please note that we set this rule in view of the need to get quality on images for the post trip exhibition. But we welcome photoentthusiats of any level of proficiency to take part. Past experience has tell us that handphone camera and consumer camera fall short of the quality needed to do a proper exhibition print.
We can only take 20 photoenthusiasts from Singapore. So, please sign up here if you are keen to go. Also, pls indicate which committee u want to be in behind your name.
After you have sign up you name, pls PM me you name, contact number, valid email address and passport number & expiry date so that we can get the orgainsing committee formed. Please indicate the type of equipment you are likely to use during the trip. We also welcome people who are keen to be helping in the committee but will not be going for the trip.
