TF2 FAQ

just caught it earlier today and i can see why straits times gave it half out of 5 stars.

i was impressed by the CGI and special effects but the plot was sadly virtually non-existent. not a big fan of the editing with all the jumpy cuts. just feels too fragmented. and i have a headache now.

Did I just saw Blackout and Demolishor? Thought they had been destroyed before?

Storyline is sh*t.... no substance. A little too much humour, like the twins added just for sake of comic relief. Robots appear for too short, too few scenes, and the scenes are too dizzying.

apparently Blackout was destroyed, but what you saw wasn't Blackout but Grindor.

and urh. as for Demolishor. I think it was Bonecrusher in the first movie, not Demolishor.

could be wrong.

and I read somewhere that the twins was Michael Bay's version of Jar Jar Binks, ie... comic effect at the expense of racial stereotypes.

i see.. but I thought Demolishor had been destroyed (head cut in half) during the opening stages of the movie?

Don't you mean Terminator Salvation?:bsmilie:

I find Terminator Salvation nicer than than Transformers. I wasn't drawn into the story of Transformers at all... Termainator salvation i was quite drawn into the story.

gooooood point.

let's chalk it up to the inconsistencies of the movie instead of trying to explain the shenanigans of Michael Bay!

Just too much CGI/mindless action packed into the 2nd movie at expense of storyline....and Michael Bay likes dizzying camera angles and choreography and closeup shots....warning: don't watch this in the front three rows or you might dizzy/disorientated. I sat in the 6th or 7th row from front screen and still got a headache at the end of the show.

Verdict: Not really worth it unless you are a fan of CGI and wham bang special effects. Overall rate it 2.5 out of 5 stars (3/5 for the eye popping visuals though).

Movie has some very disgusting scenes which spoil the whole movie, like 2 giant balls hanging below Devastator, the guy in Transformer underwear (everyone went "ewwwww"), and the tongue on the transformer's metal tentacle. Too much humour and comical scenes. Also too much stereotyping the Twins shouldn't be in that movie at all. I don't like the characterisation of Jetfire.

I felt overall the movie was worth watching, I don't get why people get so upset about it. Storyline wise is also alright, I mean I've followed from start to end and I'm constantly looking forward to the next moment, the only cheesy part was that optimus prime and the matrix part (spoilers).

I think people should be less critical and not try to be "funny" and join the bandwagon to bash the movie.

Oh another version of Jar jar Binks? Hmmmm so I reckon we should be expecting the crowd protesting and then in the Third Movie "The Fall of the Risen"? :p
that the twins are not talking anymore?

no.

that it was a racist portrayal of people from a certain racial disposition?

TF2 FAQ

One should literally switch off their brain and suspend all disbelief when watching this. Watching it after a hard day's work helps tremendously, like I did. Your brain will already be too tired to do any thinking. :bsmilie:

I only questioned the continuity/plot errors the day after. The FAQ answered all that and more.

Why you all think so much about a movie?

it is just 2 options:
- enjoy
- don't enjoy.

for me, dun enjoy

Enjoy/dun enjoy, good/no good, whatever it is, I'm just amazed with the amount of money this show is drawing in...

Anyone who has followed Transformers cartoons since young will be pissed off at this miserable excuse for a movie.
