If the virus is still there after reinstalling, you really need to low level format...

This only protect the memory card but not the pc. If the memory card is already infected, the pc will still get the virus.

Read the Tread Starter's Question carefully leh.

I am only providing easy solution to the question. Period.

Before we start to go too deep into virus. One question ponders, TS say he formatted his computer and still got virus. You mean you have formatted and reinstalled the whole OS again and still got virus.

There was no mentioning of what OS and what computer to begin with. If TS knows how to setup his/her own computer, should have some knowledge on comp virus. If it is a branded machines, then the word format doesn't looks right?

Format could still be applicable to an OEM machine. Formatting doesn't touch the MBR as some OEM machines have a hidden partition where the OS recovery is kept.

Its actually quite easy. I follows this step whenever anyway. (SDCARDS)

Just turn the "LOCK" switch to on before you plug into your computer. The comp can only copy images.
Then back at the camera, unlock the "LOCK" Switch and manual format the card on the camera.

Best simple advice!
