why? MWP are u also tempted to switch? i do find the Leica very nice for grp ,street shoots and travel....

It's always nice to have a portable camera that you will bring around whenever, wherever you go and can last well into old age. A single camera for life. If Leica, for their price, can make that claim, I'll switch. I assume the manual focus lens of Leica can last quite long compared to those Canon with AF and IS electronics.

Too bad my eyes are no good for MF. So Anthony in that aspect is much better than us young man who relies on AF.

to solve all the weigh problem, next time just ask your maid to carry your tripod, camera bags and equipment while you are out shooting. This will let concentrate on getting your award whining shots.

I am not sure if this will infringe on labour law. Maid are domestic helpers and in theory, should not be acting up as a photographer's assistant.

So the new roles for maids are to be PA for photographer, caddie for golfer, driver for car owners, etc. Squeeze every bit out of them. Soon we will have a lot running to Indo/Pinoy embassy for abuse complaint :)

Well OP-Tech make some nice soft neoprene shoulder straps. But if you're also talking about the size of the camera being too large for the size of your hands then that's a real issue. Before getting another canon (picture wise they are very good) take a look at the Olympus Pen EP1 (or the Panasonic Lumix GF1). They are much smaller and still offer DSLR advantage interchangeable lenses - even the lenses are small. A big bulky camera that you find uncomfortable to handle is never going to give you big pictures. I do suggest that this time you try the camera first before buying. Also both the micro 4/3 lenses are smaller. So you'll end up carrying a small bag. YMMV of course.

I prefer the black rapid straps - revolutionary in the way camera can be slinged around the torso and swing up to use.

I believe the weight issue applies mainly to FF bodies + L zoom lenses. FF bodies tend to have metal alloy construction underneath the plastic shell.

Just bought one R-Strap and loving it!

To TS, do you have a Gitzo GT1541T tripod to sell as well? :)

Wonder what's the complain about weight is all about. After you have babies, you have to start carrying them from 2700 to 4000 grams to God knows how many kilograms. Plus you can't sell them. ;)
Carrying my D300 or D700 with lenses is still lighter than carrying my daughter.

But seriously, if it's a life long passion (I meant photography), you will make accommodation for it. You will try to keep fit enough to be able to run around with the camera and sometime babies in tow! That is until they design something that is Pro level and light.

TS selling anymore gear? Any L lenses? Switching to leica liao is it?

This is my spare BH. Somebody has reserved it already. Markins BH is so good and durable that I don't think I will ever use the spare one.
GT1541T is another good gear. It is light, short and strong. If budget allow should get these 2 items. They are simply a perfect match. So unlikely to let go my GT1541T. If you want, I can sell you my XproB.

Can't sell those L lens. Most of them belong to my hubby.

Leica a bit pricy:sweat:.. I am a house wife without income and wasted too much money on this expensive hobby.

Hi ~
Please hang on to your Canon 5D mk2;
it's a fine piece of equipment..don't sell it away..please

On an important assignment...
as my colleagues around me began to curse at the lack of light & grab their flashguns, i found myself rather smug & content. i had the Mk2 and 300mm f2.8L..i cranked up the ISO to 6400 knowing the camera's abilities..The problem with direct flash is that it kills the mood & looks artificial..with f2.8 & 1/250s shutter speed, i managed to nail a picture others simply could not. When i showed a couple of colleagues the image, an argument ensued as they were sure i'd used flash or caught someone else's. When they realised that wasn't the case, there were expressions of disbelief as they looked down at the little camera on the end of my 300mm...Enough said~

The 1541 and Q3T are already part of my travelling gears. Just that you are selling them so cheap that I thot of buying them from you to resell at a higher price. :)

Dear John O' Connor, Leader of the Resistance Army.

Majority of the users are not trained to resist. Thus once they have made up their minds, no puny words or advice will stop their change.

Resistant is Futile. They will be subsume into other collectives.:bsmilie:

Too late..already sold. One simple statement from my hubby help me to make the decision:- "If we cannot handle the gear, no point holding to it. Go for something simple and easy".
