Hi guys/gals,

For those interested in shooting the Total Lunar Eclipse this 28 Aug, it's gonna happen at 1837hrs

Totally earthly time and the last total eclipse for this decade. Don't you miss this golden opportunity! =)

Better still, catch it with the city skyline!

Get your tripods and super-teles ready to do some time lapse photography!!!

Hi, is 300mm enough?

Dun get your hopes up. A quick check with the NEA site shows the moonrise in Singapore for 28 Aug 2007 is at 1910 which is a good half hour after the eclipse. You can probably see the eclipse if you are in Australia. Still got time to book your plane tickets though. ;)

Yes... that's right... :( When the Moon rise in Singapore, the total lunar eclipse is about to end, so you 'll need to have an unobstructed eastern horizon to see the total lunar eclipse. Below are some timing for Singapore:
1) Moon Rise: 1910
2) Total Eclipse Ends: 19:22:24 (2 degree above ground level)
3) Partial Eclipse Ends: 20:23:30 (17 degree above ground level)

Good luck and hope no low cloud on the eastern horizon.

Have a nice day.

Well lunar eclipse is not as infrequent as solar eclipse. So won't hurt much if you had missed this one.

erm, based in Aust. at the moment..

really new to Moon photography, need advice on how do i capture this sort of photography? settings/guidelines?
btw.. the longest lens i have is 135mm F2..

NASA map

i think with the 135 it will still appear small. cos with my 300mm alr its quite small

So who's going to shoot it tomorrow ? Any good locations for moon rise ?

i intended to go to punggol. but i have a meeting. so i cant go

it's been raining for quite a while now . . . hope the weather will be better later . . .

lol so is anyone going to snap any pictures today?
btw any good locations and is it even possible that we can get a shot?
according to the nasa map, we got about 45 mins of total eclipse, so we got a few mins after moon rise to get those shots?

I wonder how this guy managed to capture such big image with only a 200mm?

Obvious Crop! Cause I don't even get this size at 500mm, unless during clear sky with moon at horizon where is is larger.... never try though....

No chance tonight, extremely cloudy... you should be happy even to see the moon
