 I got a demo of it at Sheares last week. How much did you pay for it???

I remembered the price of it is rediculous. No offence.
Cerimic coating right?

Yes. It's body has ceramic based coating. And double yes for the price part. After bringing it out for field testing, I think it's still worth it.

but i think thatz a US website. i dun think that many s'poreans will b getting that light, looking from that list i dun think its local....

It's actually a international mass order based in the US. Anybody can join.

Can anyone help me get a F1P too? I'm currently running a little short on $$$ and the MO is closing soon. But I want one to replace the Brinkmann 1AAA LS that I have.

ooh? but how do i kno wads de total cost?

I ordered 1 x L1P for US$42.72.

Basically the breakdown is:

=US$38 (L1P) + US$5 (International Shipping) + 4% (for Credit Card purchase)
=US$38 + US$5 + US$1.72
=US$42.72

How much is the surefire G2 now? Heard that there's a shop near Lian Seah street which has a large collection of lights..Planning to get one G2 soon...

Hve looked at the above websites and feel that the G2 is the most value for $$? Any comments?

A big thanx to all who helped me bout my torch problems

The problem was actually the battery, i was told never to let the batt run totally dry...once it does...it's gonna spoil. Luckily i manage to replace with a new one...quite cheap actually bout $12 for a set of batts (two other shops tried to sell me at $20+!! kaoz! heng i asked/see around first), at Sim Lim Square, at a shop which sells mainly batteries...forgotten if it's 3rd of 4th floor.

Still about torches...know anywhere in Singapore, sells small torches but with powerful beam? Most of the torches you guys discussed here worth around $60 and above...im looking for tight budget ones but still good enough for use in the dark. (white light)

I have seen a japanese engineer used a small torch with 6 white light LED bulbs, metal bodied with a very strong beam. He told me he got in Japan, costs around SG$5...looks like an Inova torch...but it isn't....think no brand......are there any such in Singapore?

+evenstar : G2 or pelican M6 incan are good flashlights, bright and cheap enough. If you're getting the G2, just make sure you buy the one with the new LOTC (Lock Out Tail Cap), so that then light won't get accidentally switched on when you leave it in the car/bags.

shop near Liang Seah ? You mean Sheares Marketing ?

sbs99 : haven't really seen the LED light in your pic. Most of the cheaper Made in China LED lights i've seen are similar to those selling at EastGear.

i think better to spend a bit more to get a good LED one once and for all. probably a Pelican M6 or Gerber TX3.0 for example.
