Hi, CP: $1,035 after much negotiation. Checked with OP and TCW a couple of days ago....no stock. Hope this helps.

Lets get serious. I am prepared to go shopping around.
But I need the following;
1) those interested, pl sms me ur name and the MAX price u are prepared to pay, without filters. I think the price shd b NOT MORE than $930.
2) The mount
3) Let me have the tel nos of the various retail outlets
4) My tel 91859123.
5) I may place a deposit with the shop once I find it fits into our conditions.
6)ITS A MATTER OF TRUST................... OUR WORD IS OUR BOND.:thumbsup:

hey,

i have just called some shops today. i first called alan photo since the chef got the cheapest there.

apparently he said jap has increased the price and he is charging $980 now! then i told him but my friend just got it from you like 2 days ago for only $940 and it has increased already? and he insisted yes.. althought i told him about "bulk" purchase.

the cheapest so far is MS color $950. however only 1 for canon and 1 nikon mount. no more stock.

orient P: $960 (funny everytime i called, a lady answered and this is the price she quote me today)
maybe i should go down personally.

i wished to get the lens by this weekend.

I read from this thread that someone got it for $930 from Orient a couple of days ago. If you want to check with Orient, check with the guy (more senior and can make decisions) as the girl there looks like a junior staff to me. It should be better to go there in person. If you want to check with AP, ask for Sam. Quite a friendly guy compared to the rest there.

I WANT TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT.

Jus to confirm and say that I am jus kay poh to HELP source for cheaper prices. This is NOT A REQUEST for MASS ORDER! I do not wish to run foul of . . . ."whatever".
I DO NOT and WILL NOT make a single cent! In fact I will need to fork out time and other transport expenses.

Have you checked with TK Foto? They have it when I visited them yesterday if you are still interested. Look for Richard.

11-16mm f/2.8 !

This is the lens to get. Put it this way, I want it so bad that I didnt care it aint gg to autofocus with my D40x.

Havent regretted getting it since ........

I'm afraid that this statement is not correct, the 11-16 is designed to be used on APS-C or DX sized sensor cameras only. As I posted in the other thread on a wide angle lens for the D700, this is from the Tokina website specs for the 11-16;

"* The lens is designed for Digital cameras with APS-C sized CMOS and CCD sensors, not designed for cameras with Full Frame sensors."

Better get the facts right before people get mislead and buy an incompatible lens dude. I have the 11-16 and use it on a D90.

Hi dude, it is usable at 15-16mm on a FX body. Make no mistake about it. Try it before you buy of course.
