beautiful photos...

thanks

I use a 14 to 45mm lens for that photo, I just stichted them up and photoshopped the thing. I use the sharpen tool.:)

I own the 14 to 45 and a 45 to 150mm lens, so all the pics above were taken by either one. No filters for any.

Those are the same lenses that comes with the E-500 dual lens kit right?
Are u using a E-500 too?

Fantasic images.
Really really enjoyed them!
Thanks for posting.

Just checked the equipment list. He is using a E-500.

Agreed! Solid pics from Cliffy!

Blu, shoot more often will improve your shot tremendously! A camera is a tool for taking pictures not for display. Hope this encourage you.:)

So far only less that 0.1% of all the shots blu have taken are of acceptable quality :embrass: Composition is the biggest factor...this of which blu have practically NONE

practise makes perfect.. continue to work hard!

LOL. Quite true. Now I've progressed from producing 1 good shot out of 99 other crap shots to 1 good and 1 so-so shot out of 98 other crap shots...

I know what u mean!!! I just "whack" like crazy then siphon out from all the crappy shots...

Thank goodness for DIGITAL SLR... i dun wanna imagine the costs if still using film...

Actually a good way to practise is to shoot like you are using film. This is what I did the last few days because I am running out of space in my computer and the RAW files are huge from my L-1. But here are more travel shots to look at. Most of them were shot on L-1 on B/W Dynamic mode without any post PS processing. And some are from my FX-01. Quite obvious which ones they are. I really like Cliffy's shots so these shots are not meant for comparison. Just sharing with what seems like a bunch of nice guys who appreciate photography.

Wow... Nice...

Guess i'm glad i bought the E-500... :)

Does it matter what lenses he use? These nice pictures are achievable with kit lens? or must do post processing as well?

PP is a necessary part of digital photography, think of it as film processing!

The kit lenses are capable of getting great photos, what you need, and to quote a certain Larry Frank: "for great pictures, you NEED a tripod and a polarizer".

Hi Cliffy,
It is a pitty I did not know you were in Paris. I was there about the same time as you on a short business meeting for three days. I actually love Paris, been living there for three years  and loved each day. I found the light very special most of the time. No wonder so many painters came from and around Paris. Personally I have been there very often since about 1982 plus a few times between 1973 and 1975 and I never got tired of it so far.

Great pictures. How come you never used the 40-150mm before? It is a great lens. But OK, not always suitable for your city scapes, which I can see you are still a master of.
