To that guy who bought my VC-7D 4 years ago........

upz..............

Wow, this thread is alive? lolxxx

haha, you reminded me of the offically a minoltian thread that really nv died.:bsmilie: wonder if can unclose that fun thread.

why not post in a more widely-read forum like consumers corner or general discussion? i'm sure the mods won't mind :) kudos to satay16!

yeah, minolta was just a peaceful brand. loved my 7D too, sadly had to let it go because the AF was just too slow :(. If there was an option to sent in the 7D and change the AF mechanism (hypothetically speaking), i'll glady do that for a fee and retain my 7D.

Yah. AF too slow..But I still use it till now. Mine still churning out 6mp shots now and then.. Just remember that first shot is usually blank when taken out from the dry box..apart from that..I still stick with this old horse where all setting are mechanically available. Maybe I dunno how to use the new breed of cameras..which is menu driven. If SONY were to make a FF body like this again...I bet they will get my money..

Wah!!! You guys still around?!!! I remember Satay16... hahaha... you just stepped into the forum then and asked a lot of questions about the KM system... those were the good old days... I still have my 7 and 7D... I think the last good camera that Sony made of the old school variety was the A900 which I am still using... no choice but must adapt lar... I wished that the A900 also had the dual dials mechanical controls of the 7D but it has never come back... in fact all the other manufacturers are also going the same way, more buttons instead of using dials...

TME!!!! You are still around too!!!! And so am I!!! Bwahahahaha....

Yeah....I really missed those good old Minolta days....shooting with my trusted Dynax 7. I still have it in my drybox btw, can't make myself part with it. Gonna make sure it stays with me as a vintage camera collection when I'm 70....80..... :)

Hello Vivien... good to see you around... I remember you were like one of the very few ladies around shooting KM... hahaha... yeah yeah, I am still around... don't frequent the forums as much cos once I moved to the A900, no need to buy anything else already... hahaha! I still have the Dynax 7 & Dynax 7D... I guess they will just moulder in my dry box like yours... :)

Xmas coming. Merry xmas minolta owners!!

I'm still here too :)

But I recently killed one of my precious D7D's  It smashed to the floor when baby stroller fell over backwards (after we just took baby out)... I had hung the D7D with VG on the back of the stroller. That brick hit the concrete with a sickening thud!

Unfortunately, it was the better copy of my 2 D7D's... the focussing was very accurate (albeit abit slow)... but now the anti-shake gone kaput and the shutter won't fire... the anti-shake mechanism has a well known vulnerability to impact. I talked to Mr Sia at Sony and he said they no longer have spares... (But the Sony 35/1.8 attached to it is still working fine, although it took the full impact). So careless.

Take good care of your precious collection, friends. And enjoy shooting

helloooooooo everyone! haha, oh man, ever since starting work, photography time just went down.:(

missed the old times! I'm still holding onto the battery holder:bsmilie: looks like it's going to be a Minolta souvenir for me.
