hmm actually, i kinda prefer brown more than gary neville as right back now.

Yeah me too....he is getting more no nonsense with the ball now and has much better footwork than Neville crown who always back pass and cry innocent when he obviously fouled the opponent.......my only worry for Brown is he might get into trouble if he miss-time his tackle on trickery player......that will put the team in great danger......but then both of them are still much better than the laughing stock Silvestre now

Becks goes to USA!

Quite a stunner as I think he still got a few good years in him at the highest level. I tot he will go to AC Milan.

Ya agree wif u watching him tackle is jus like waiting for a time bomb to explode! will get into trouble anytime!
Still prefer Neville cool clam  despite his age i think he can still gt quite a few more seasons in him!

haha but he definetely cross better than neville :P
defenders usually clears neville cross using their LEGS! lol

wow, i feel u think too highly of beckham already. With the major leagues in mind, a midfielder that only can cross and take freekick, imo, is only suitable for EPL's style of play. not to mention, there are players that take better freekick atm hahaha.

i doubt any italian teams would want him... maybe the smaller clubs to sell jersey.

Ronaldo wins Barclays Premiership Player of the Month Award twice in a row. Becomes the third players in the EPL to win it twice in a row after Dennis Bergkamp in August and September 1997 and Robbie Fowler in December 1995 and January 1996. Hopefully, he continues with his excellent form and make it a record treble in Jan 07. On his current form, he is capable of doing it. Go for it, Ron!

Talking about Ronaldo:

Report by Steve BartramPapers: Barca swap mootedBarca May Xav Ronnie
Manchester United face a battle to keep Cristiano Ronaldo after Barcelona president Joan Laporta made the Portugal winger his top target for next season. But United want the Spanish club's midfielder Xavi Hernandez, which could pave the way for a player-plus-cash deal. Laporta is determined to land Ronaldo, stung by his failure to sign No.1 target Thierry Henry last season. Manager Frank Rijkaard is not so keen on the player. A Barcelona source said: "Rijkaard doesn't feel Ronaldo is a priority and isn't sure it's worth spending £40m-plus for him. But Laporta has Ronaldo in his head and after what happened with Henry, is even more determined to get his first-choice player."
Martin Lipton, Daily Mirror

In other transfer talk, The Sun claim Tottenham will test United's resolve to keep Wes Brown with a £5million bid for the England international.

Meanwhile, skipper Gary Neville receives widespread coverage after revealing he never doubted United could emerge from their period of transition and return to the top of the Premiership.

i feel ronaldo moving on to other clubs is just a matter of time. he is an ambitious player, and unless man u can achieve something great this season, i think he might move on to other clubs :(
and pls dun sell wes brown!

He shines too early and it will cost MU a lot more to keep him....certain club just like to buy instant success with cheque book wide open.....so instead of keeping an unhappy player affecting everyone else.....MU should listen to anyone who could meet the asking price

I said that cos he is only 31 years old. Still can offer something to clubs like Munich or AC Milan. AC is more attacking than other Italian Clubs. They do uses quite a lot of crosses. But I think he likes the LA/Hollywood lifestyle, esp his wife! He seems a little henpeck! :bsmilie:

£40m for C. Ronaldo is a damn good deal. Can sell but then, buy who? He is untouchable at the moment. Barca will be untouchable with him. Man Utd should hang on to him. Unless he is unhappy...then sell!

really sad that no one remember what Beckham has achieved or done esp for man utd in his football career , hear lots of critics to him about this about that , true he might be slow and not good in dribbling, but he deliver pinpoint crosses most of the time .. even C. ronaldno cannot compare with him. without his free kick , england might even lose out to equador in WC'06. now he ended up being kicking around like a ball. hope that his new football club appreciates him .

I remembered his contribution. Without his FK goal against Greece, England will not even make it to WC 2002. Epl's goal of the decade is his halfway line lobe against Wimbledon. He is also part of the treble winning team.

His new club will surely appreciate him. I read that he is paid US$55M a year and its a 5 year deal, that means he earns US$275M! :o If the club pay him so much and dun appreciate him, then they're dumb ass! US$55M a year! 1 year got 52 weeks? Its US$1M a week!!!

In contrast, the highest paid player in Chelsea is earning about £5-6 a year. I forgot who. Either Ballack, Lamps or Sheva.

who wont remember his contributions to man u? but i feel that, his era has already passed. his moves are predictable, and so are his freekicks. its so easy to mark him cos opponents already know him inside out....
even most of the time, on-looks like us already know where's he gonna shoot most of the time before he takes the freekick. im sure the experienced players on the field prolly know even more than us? :)

david must be sad but at least he is a damn rich guy !!

many rich people aint happy men tho. anyway, tats besides the point. i think main reason why david goes there, prolly becos of limelight. or for his kids sake?

Well...with that kind of pay and publicities that he gets...I think we can be forgiven :sweatsm:

On the contrary, I actually find that Neville is playing his best these 2 seasons..last time, when I see him playing, my fear is always - wil it be own goal or fatal back pass. The right wing play of Man Utd (i.e. Neville - Ronaldo) is very good this season..as good as the Neville, Beckham days..so his role as rightback and captain (he is really the best choice of the lot) is still important.

I think meeting for a drink immediately after a match is becoming a customary thing and does not reflect the true state of relationship between both managers.
