Hahahaha....... lucky we got Larsson available from the next match! But SAHA out on grion injury! Hope that Larsson will provide additional bite in front score more goals although we score average 3 goals but not enough jus look at match against Reading! conceding las min goal which is a trend nowadays!

larsson is an intelligent player, he should be able to provide some punch to our attacks!;) i feel its not so bad if saha is injured. he issnt banging in goals anyway. i feel our defenders like vidic and rio are more important for the rest of the season now. they have been providing good cover at the back, and without either of them, we wont be sitting where we are sitting now!

Its a disaster! Drawing with Newcastle and their 2nd goal was a bit lucky and we're unlucky but hiaz.....life is like that. Lucky Chelsea drew but then again, we could have stretch our lead to 8pts. I felt that the Newcastle game we should have won. :(

i felt our players were sort of slacking after 2nd goal. they onyl woke up after newcastle equalised :(

Transfer Rumours: Jan 07With the January transfer window officially open for business the tabloids have gone giddy, with countless rumours abounding about possible arrivals and departures.

The biggest name tipped to leave Old Trafford is Argentine defender Gabriel Heinze, who has apparently alerted AC Milan, Valencia and Bayern Munich.

Reports suggest Bayern's interest could lead to a swap deal involving England midfielder Owen Hargreaves, who is set to return from his broken leg in the next fortnight.

Heinze's mooted departure could pave the way for more tabloid rumours to bear fruit, with the arrival of 17-year-old Southampton left-back Gareth Bale.

The Welsh international youngster is highly rated, with United, Liverpool, Arsenal and even Real Madrid tipped to test the Saints' resolve this month.

Sir Alex Ferguson is also tipped to rival Rafa Benitez for another youngster, 16-year-old Hamilton Academicals midfielder James McCarthy, over the coming weeks.

Elsewhere, Alan Smith is an alleged loan target for Bolton and Everton, while speculation abounds over the futures of Wes Brown, John O'Shea and Kieran Richardson.

In my opinion...other then West Brown and O'Shea for their versatilities...the rest on top can go for good so that we can see some new blood in the team

Sounds like those news in my CHAMPIONSHIP MANAGER game :bsmilie:

u dun like heinze? :dunno: im quite surprised as i feel hes quite solid at the back when hes not injured...

yes hes giving the ball away on numerous times nowadays. but u can also count the number of times he fight back the ball. and also many times, he uses his body to nudge the marker away to get back the ball. yes, football is not only about being physically strong. but if a player is physically strong, that is an added advantage. do u think rooney will be as effective if he was weak like fletcher?

yes, rooney issnt scoring now. he issnt on form. and so is saha. both of them issnt providing the goals. but when they are on form, i see rooney being a much more useful/better asset than saha. and rooney is like 4 or 5 years younger.
another point to note, rooney issn't an all-out striker. hes the bridge between our midfields and strikers.

fight back for ball ? nudge pple ? think he is better when playing ruby:) i only see him a couple of times waiting for the ball to roll towards his feet , true he is physically strong , but he is clumsy as well , slow , kana tackle lose possesion , then start to throw temper again , bahbah bah .. we had seen it many times, wait for Rooney to in form ? i think no need to wait lah , a class player is always very consistent. look at ronaldno ? he is consistent, i never seen him off form . and the worse thing? Rooney is in the limelight everytime.. damn highly over-rated. Saha is so much better than Rooney in every attributes. dun understand why pple rate him so highly nowadays.. last time also said depends on him to win WC.. Rooney should join liverpool

wow if u feel a class player needs to be always consistent, then i think every player issn't classy to u already. cos every player has their in-form and off-form days. for some, its weeks. for others is months.

u think ronaldinho was never off-form? think again. he didnt do much during WC, did he?

as for saha, i dun see why u like him. just like u dun see why i like rooney either lol. :bsmilie:
to me, hes just fast, but he doesnt know what to do in the penalty box. he doesnt have techniques like ronaldo. he doesnt have strength/skills to hold ball like RVN. he doesnt have positioning skills and killer instinct like solskjaer. his finishing issnt fantastic. his headers are just okay. how to score? i have seen him miss so many chances this season, its sad. :(

maybe i should put it another way.Rooney has been off-form since WC till now. A classy player should not have off for such a long period of time. not as if he is over thirty already. hm.. maybe time will tell everything..:) now i just hope he wun give away balls so much , i cant believe how he performed in that last match in Benficia , he really has a different look from his teammates in that match , seems like he is playing football himself in another dimension..

Really? Saha is better? It's true that Rooney is off-form right now but look at the stats first.

Rooney(Soccernet)

Saha(Soccernet)

How come Rooney scored the same amount of goals as Saha and has more assists than Saha?

1 is already 28, supposed to be at his peak.
the 1 with more assist is only 21 ;)

the older is an all-out striker
the younger is a supporting striker

yet, same amount of goals scored and the younger has more assist

does anyone knows where to check the stats for their completed passing, crossing, etc etc...

bro u cant compare like that , saha has injured for a long period of time before he start up.

Cannot compare like that lah......Rooney is 30m...almost equal to Saha + Drogbar + 1/2 Ronaldo....I just don't think he worth that much lah  But than he is so much better than Sheva which cost even more :bsmilie: :sweatsm:

hmm... lets be frank here. we all know sheva is a world class player and can be deadlier than drogba. he is just not performing. either that, or he has a different role to play in chelsea?

anyway, rooney and ronaldo are still young. and they have a long way to go and can further improve. the question is, are they going to improve in United's training ground? lets hope they do...

let's hope MU will go all the way to win the title !

Something to chew on but with a pinch of salt. Lol.

Fergie's Bale-Out Link
United target Gareth Bale is out of Southampton’s FA Cup third-round clash at Torquay tomorrow, fuelling speculation he is moving to Old Trafford. United had a £5million bid for Welsh starlet Bale, 17, rejected on Wednesday but Alex Ferguson is preparing an improved offer. Left-back Bale will not travel to Plainmoor, with Saints citing a hamstring strain for his withdrawal. However, club insiders say United do not want the teenage sensation cup-tied.
Ross Gregory, The Sun

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror claims the Reds will make a move for Blackburn's David Bentley if they fail to land Bayern Munich and England midfielder Owen Hargreaves.

YEAH... Today is the Day Larsson's Debut and against his former boss! Think his insertion should increase our goals tally! Fergie will most likely to partner him wif Solskjaer, While Kuszczak to man the Goal mouth!:bsmilie:
