Obviously, you are one of those who hope Man Utd wins in the game but doesn't watch the match.

Park is an excellent player. Period.

i do watch matches. i dont remember park contributing much in attack.
im really surprised that so many ppl like park. maybe u guys can tell me why u all like him so much? im really curious. hope i dun offend anyone

Just hope Mourinho continues to stick with this system of not using Robben and using Shev instead..this will enable more teams to grind a draw result against Chelsea..

I always wonder whether Roman has a say in Mourinho's team selection and purchases.

Robben and Joe cole should be on the 1st team. They are fast, creative and great crossers.

Instead, he prefer using the diamond 4 midfield formation consisting of Makele, Essien, Lampard, Ballack..

I think the back 4 is solid eunff. Terry, Cashley, Carvalho are all strong and quick defenders and I dun see the need for the use of 2 defensive achor man in midfield. Their central midfield is congested with blue shirts

Lampard tries too hard to emulate steven gerard, often wasting chances testing keeper's alertness with his long range strike instead of passing to an umarked player.

Ballack tries too hard to become the 3rd striker.

Makelee: More like a defender than a midfielder, but he is good.

Essien: Why need a 2nd Makelee ???

Shevenko: Where is the ball now ? How long u need to learn to play soccer the British Style !?

Drogba: We can see u trying very hard to overshadow shevenko and make his presence and importance a doubt. Also to jusifty ur 100K pounds a week payslip.

Cashley: Writing autobiography won't earn much. Try wedding photography

Terry: I like u ! When are u gona to get injured ?

*Sigh*

2 horse race liao.. It's either chelsea or Man Utd.

BORING :complain:

Brother..FACTS dun lie...check the stats..he created more goals then anyone else in the team 2nd to Rooney (Assists )..in fact before he gut injured..and last season..he contribute more than Ronaldo (only this season did Ronaldo starts to mature). It gets me very angry when Fergie plays Fletcher more than Park last season! U telling me Assist dun mean anything? Is he effective? ABSOLUTELY YES!

More fact, he usually dun loose the ball easily..and most of the time opponents have to foul him to stop him and his movement OFF the ball is fantastic. Please do watch more football.. His weakness? his finishing and he has not gain full confidence in front of goal yet.

Ofcos..there are matches where he dun play as well..but at times he is a solid player. BETTER THAN CARRICK AND HOW MUCH DOES PARK COST???!!! Giggs(one of my fav player) is playing well this season which is a good thing, cos for the last few season, he hasn't perform to his mark, his crosses hardly successful, his dribbles usually ends up to the opponent one word, not effective but he do produce magic once in a while. This season, he is playing like this could be his last.

U can't compare him to rooney, giggs or maybe ronaldo now cos they are in a different class..but he is def. an above average player.

by the way..he actually beat defenders quite a number of times..name other player in Man U that does that? Carrick? O shea? Fletcher?

For his performance in his first season in the Premier league, I think you should give him credit. Oh why not compare him to the so call WORLD CLASS PLAYER LIKE VERON???

Yeah, right. Am sure SAF, after rooting for the gunners last night, will declare himself a Newcastle fan for 90 minutes.:bsmilie:

 will he be wearing the Magpies colour? he had wear gunners color last weekend!

Hey guys no need to fight over whether how good Park is this is for Fergie to decided!
And as delong72 had say Statistic will reflect the truth!;)

Meanwhile: Jan transfer window open:

Sir Alex Ferguson will be given full financial backing to strengthen United's Premiership and Champions League ambitions when the January transfer window opens.

The Reds have been linked with a series of high profile transfers, but, given that the recent loan signing of Henrik Larsson escaped the media's radar virtually until it had been announced, the Reds' real targets remain uncertain.

However, Reds chief executive David Gill says United's owners, the Glazers, are prepared to put the necessary money at Sir Alex's disposal.

United are being strongly tipped to revive their interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves when the January transfer window opens.

And the Scot’s refusal to rule out a move for England holding midfielder Hargreaves has fuelled the tabloid rumours that United’s long chase for the 25-year-old will end successfully in January.

Elsewhere, United have allegedly been rebuffed in their attempts to sign Norwegian starlet Havard Nordtveit from Haugesund.

A statement from the Norwegian club claimed that, while talks had ended without agreement, the door remains ajar for future negotiations.

 Wonder how much will Reds chief executive David Gill have for Fergie to disposal?

Charlton expects Man Utd signings

Manchester United director Sir Bobby Charlton says manager Sir Alex Ferguson will strengthen his side's Premiership title push by bringing in new players.

West Ham make Curbishley approach

This guy is good!

Apparently, Keano is trying to get Rossi on loan

I dunno if its good for him or not. I like to see him stay and fight for a place rather than go on loan or worse, give up his Man Utd career. But on the other hand, with Chelsea's consistancy, Fergie can't afford any slip ups and thus, Rossi's chance will be very limited in the 1st team. Its a catch 22 situation I guess.

i think what mourinho is trying to do here when he plays a diamond midfield... is to play possession. that is my guess. all the 4 man in the midfield are strong and physical players which are able to fight and get the ball back and continue attacking, keeping possession a minimal for opponents.

what i really cant figure out is why mourinho bought ballack for? just his passing abilities?
in my opinion, frank lampard is a same type of player as ballack, just that ballack has better vision and can bomb the oponent goal with both this legs. he have yet to see his trademark longshot hitting the net :sticktong maybe mourinho's instructions for him is to let lampard shoot long shot and he do passing....?

im not too sure he made so many assist, where to check assisting stats?
actually, maybe i had too much expectations of him. as a winger, my opinion is he should be able the take defenders on, and go pass them with the ball. which the times when i watched him played, he couldn't. oh well, lets see how he fair when he comes back...

now im not so sure about carrick. i was quite sure SAF bought him for his passing abilities, but so far i dun see him doing fantastic passing often.
currently, besides giggs, ronaldo and rooney, (and maybe park as u said), i dun see anyone able to take on oponents. the newer players like fletcher dun even have a good attacking mind.

as for veron, lol, the only thing i remember of him, was the goal he scored when he just arrived. it was a great volley but thats about it lol.

also im actually hoping rossi will stay in man u. i do see some potential in him for his guest appearances that he made. but hes kinda small size

lol dun worry we just having a healthy debate. in peace, i come ;)

They didn't gun them down only gunned 2 pts from them our lead cut to 7pts!

At least Arsenal take 2 points away from them at stamford bridge. :bsmilie:

Park is hardworking, always running around, fighting for the ball. I know his finishing quite bad but overall he's still quite good.

I'm agreed tat Carrick isn't making much contribution like what he used to do for Spurs. Maybe he's not used to Sir Alex style.

lets hope carrick will get used to the playing style soon. i think SAF wants him to stay for long.

Actually, Carrick is playing a different role to when he was at Spurs. More like a makeshift defensive midfielder, and he has provided excellent coverage for the centre-backs. Yes, Vidic has been an absolute monster this season, and Ferdinand has made less than his usual mistakes. But Carrick has had a part to play - not in the style of a crunching enforcer like Makalele or Vieira, but reads and cuts out passes really well, leaving Scholes to do the creative distribution, either forward or to the wings. Match this with an experienced and consistent goalkeeper that never panics, and we have the best defensive record - its not a fluke.

Rooney rated the best in the premiership.
