You...MU should buy Klose to partner Saha

Honously I hope MU buy Riquelme over Carrick....but then the dust has settled.....now MU has to look at another midfielder since Giggs is in the long term sick leave.....a defensive midfielder that can cover wings.....selling Philip Neville was a mistakes.....but again we will not know his true potential if MU only play him as 2nd string......Fletcher & Richardson are doing the same thing....or maybe MU doesn't need anybody else now and SAF can be cocky if he can beats Arsenal this sunday and liverpool draw or beat Chelsea

I think letting Nicky Butt go was a huge mistake but no choice, SAF cannot guarantee a 1st team place at that time as Roy Keane was still a regular.

Giggs out for 3 weeks only I think? Park out for 3 months.

I watched 'Football Focus' and their Spain rep said that F.Torres already talking about Man Utd and asking about the club. But Utd did not come in for him so he signed a new contract with A. Madrid but rumour is the contract got a buy out clause, so Utd or other clubs can get him cheaper come Jan or end of season.

on e whole, e gunners outperformed e red devils... even playing with one striker upfront, they created more chances and scoring oppt, except they couldn't convert them.

United tried 2 lift the ball over their strong midfield to attack but depending Saha alone 2 win those long balls just wasnt enuf! :thumbsd: I felt Rooney wasnt in form last night and Ronaldo was simply running but not delivering. Fletcher, as usual, was oblivious. O'Shea, presumably marking Gilberto, cdnt do much cos Arsenal attack usually start thru Fabregas and Rosicky. i must say their movement play is simply swift.

onli Scholes stand out last night. SAF shd start with Carrick and O'Shea as holding, drop Fletcher n hv Scholes supporting the attacking Saha, Rooney & Ronaldo.

Lets hope they gel better in their next match, cos their certainly lacked understanding and communications between each other...

:think: next match away to Reading who seems to be performing quite well or is it their play are no familar to the rest in the EPL!

When I saw the line up for the Reading game, leaving Saha on the bench, I felt we were going to have a hard time. Moreover, looking at the way they played, except for Ronaldo, most of the time they were attacking from the centre where the opponents marshalled their defence superbly. Attacking from both flanks would have been a better option if Giggs or Park had not been injured. Ronaldo alone couldn't do much damage even though he was the best player on the night and scored the equaliser.

I agree about the unusual line-up in view of the mid week CL game against Benfica. However, looking at the squad we have, we don't have enough many players in each department and the result can be disappointing especially with a packed schedule where the players can play very well in one match and look jaded in the next match. Injuries, like what happened to Giggs and Park, can shrink down the squad further leaving the manager with very little option but to try out different players in different position. This is what happened in the Reading game.
