yes, youngster should be given a chance, but not at the expense of points. selling rooney off is just crazy! from the way rooney puts in effort, u can tell that he still wants to play for man u. SAF wouldn't sell of a happy player with potential.

and i wouldnt side rooney and ronaldo in different classes. ronaldo has 1 thing in his game which is deadly, which is his dribbling skills. rooney is an all-round player. its not fair if u compare who is better since both of them plays different position, but both of them are players who can turn the tide on their on-form days. fans all around the world know that these are 2 players in man u that has the greatest potential.

Like what I said earlier and I am saying it again. These two players are the future pillars of ManU which will be built around them and other youngster including Rossi and maybe a few others that SAF will buy later on.

Rooney is overstretched....he is not in the same form after he came back from his US vacation....SAF should rest him a couple of games for him to cool down...he should observe on his team mate on how to play soccer again....there are Solsjaer, Saha and Larsson to fill in the striker department

eh.. richardson? you think richardson is better compared to rooney? :bsmilie:

saha and larsson pair up? that's possible but both players seem not able to play for a full 90 minutes in the mean time..

who knows ?u never try u never know.. i am not saying richardson is better , well he is not that bad too. things might just work out better ? if Rooney is not good now might as well give other players a chance.

haha.. i think you seldom watch man u matches in which richardson played..

i agree with u, except for penalty taking, heading and long shots.
i feel that ronaldo issnt better at rooney in taking penalty. 1 example is his missed penalty recently, remember? heading, i feel they equal, with neither of them particularly shinning in this area, altho ronaldo did score a few goals thru heading recently. as for long shots, i feel rooney is better than ronaldo.

i also feel u missed out a few things which are important as a player, such as strength, determination and flair. these are 3 important stats which i feel rooney has the upper hand :)

, for most of this season, man u has been playing a lone striker role. rooney is playing the man behind striker position, which i feel is not a striker role, and no one in man u can replace that position. to put replace rooney with another striker such as solsjkaer, saha, larsson, would be to play 2 strikers. that is already different tactics. yes, tactics can be changed. but as they always say... "why fix something that is not broken"? :)

what i am trying to say is, man u are playing well currently. we shouldn't risk dropping points by changing tactics just becos 1 player issnt playing well. if we take out rooney and let him rest, who can replace him at his workrate to do his tackling, assists and drawing of defenders?

3 lousy stats of what i see in him , bullish , impatient, inconsistent. :thumbsd: :thumbsd:
giving away balls like nobody business ..cannot even pass properly. squander chances given by his teamates is what i see in him.. simple as that.. i see it with my own eyes.. i watch man u matches regularly ..
he can be forgiven now becos the rest of dem are playing well..but if man u start to stumble..he will be the first one to blame already.

haha.. i think you seldom watch man u matches in which richardson played..

he scored goals and create chances , he is faster and not as clumsy as Rooney. i watched man u matches but he seldom got a start-up

u seem to like players as long as they are fast and not clumsy.

anyway, here are some stats according to soccernet:

EPL
saha : 17 (2 sub) games, 8 goals, 4 assists, 19 fouls, 1 YC, 0 RC
rooney: 19 (1 sub) games, 8 goals, 6 assists, 31 fouls, 3 YC, 0 RC
scholes: 18 (0sub) games, 4 goals, 1 assists, 25 fouls, 6 YC, 0 RC

so scholes must be damn sucky. less goals, so much less assists. played less games yet most YC, damn clumsy? time to sell scholes? :bsmilie:

I think SAF should rest him! HE seems rather clock worked! or played him behind the Strikers as AM! ;p

It's good to have so many goal scorer. It shows that not only the strikers are getting the goals, the rest can contribute too. It makes the opponents work harder not only having to look out for the strikers but also the rest of them who can also cause the damage. Only our goalie haven't score. :bsmilie:

Yeah... back to the good old treble days where everyone scores!:bsmilie:

Yeah man, VDS better buck up! Got one more, G Neville have not score. Now, its like back to before RVN days. During RVN days, he is under alot of pressure to score as the rest dun seem to have confidence to take a shot or busy creating chances for him. Nowadays if our SC dun score, still got midfielders to help.

Its war time this weekend! Gun down them Gunners! Take our 3-prong fork and stab their backside! :bsmilie: It will be great if Chelsea drop pts at Anfield!

It's gonna be a tough match this weekend and SAF will now have to consider very seriously if he should rest Rooney at this time.

yeah, tough weekend for the 4 big EPL teams

I don't think it's the right time to rest Rooney when playing against Arsenal; a match where u need a tough tackling guy like him. Never mind he has not been scoring lately but who knows he may choose the appropriate moment to unleash some goals past Lehman.:)

saha would remain as the penalty taker when he comes back

i have a feeling that heinze might be leaving ... :(

i have a feeling that heinze might be leaving ... :(

I think he should not leave. He only has Evra to beat to the 1st team.

Dong signs new contract

I really wonder when will we see him in the 1st team. Rossi dun even get a sniff at a chance. Maybe next year.....

Man Utd send Rossi on loan again to former club Parma: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=400365&cc=5739

Yeah its good for him to gain 1st team experience but I'm afraid he will not return if he is happy there and afterall, its his former club.

Dong and Rossi will only get the chance next season when Saha leaves/no form and ole as sub or retires and assuming we dun sign Larsson. I tot they will get some chance when RVN leaves but it seems like its not the case.

January exit ruled out by Heinze

His contract ends this summer and he can leave for free. :o Quite amazing that Utd did not offer a contract extension considering that he was voted as best player last season.
