Against Blackburn, Rooney missed a few great chances to score. Luckily this weekend he scored 2 and save Man Utd. ;)

Adu starts two-week Man Utd trial

American teenage prodigy Freddy Adu has started a two-week trial with Premiership leaders Manchester United.

Adu, 17, was allowed to attend by MLS club DC United, but will not be able to play in a competitive match as he does not have a work permit.

Chelsea are reported to have rejected the chance to sign Adu, who is the youngest-ever USA international.

Despite his reputation, Adu trained with United's academy players at their Carrington training ground.

Ghana-born Adu was 16 when he made his international debut for the USA in a friendly against Canada.

United are thought to be keen to arrange a match behind close doors at some point during Adu's stay.

Earlier this month, boss Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed United would be keen on signing Adu if he could prove himself.

Ferguson said: "I think we would be interested, he's only young but we have known of him for a long time.

"We tried to get him here some years ago but he signed for DC United and that stopped the progress of us keeping tabs on him."

Earlier this year Adu's agent Richard Motzkin claimed he had held talks with both United and Chelsea.

celtic vs man u.. smells like a DRAW.. :dunno:

celtic vs man u.. smells like a DRAW.. :dunno:

Nah... its a 1-0 win for Celtic! Anyway expected bcos they need oni another pt to qualify the next round in CL but they need full strength to beat Chelsea at home this weekend cos if lose will be a hard fight for the title if win will be a less stressful:bsmilie:

Huh...again...if Saha scored the penalty then MU is through......now they made themselve difficult :dunno:

Hopefully this set back will propell them to another 120% effort game on Chelsea this weekend

Saha wasted the perfect chance to equalize and qualify.. oh my.. :(

Hmm...

Just need one more point and next match on home ground.. Not too much of a worry isn't it ?

Waiting for the coming Man Utd and Chelsea match..

But if they were able to get one point from last night match, they would have not to worry about the next game with Benfica..

Hopefully they would not repeat their history of dropping out from CL last year when facing Benfica..

Well, Louis Saha looked more like Louis Salah this morning la!:D

Anyway, that's Man U for u, they thrives in crisis. I think they'll stil make it to the next round this time.

Kenny

Forget about Celtic, the bigger C is next CHELSEA. :bsmilie:
