I don't think he is kiasu. Since Pallister and Bruce, we have not had a good pair of central defenders. Buying Vidic will probably booster the central defence when he partners Ferdinand. With Heinze on long term injury, the left is still shaky with no one being able to claim a permanent spot there. This will free Silvestre whom I feel is the ideal person, in the absence of Heinze, to fill the slot given his track record in this position where his overlapping run had resulted in a number of goals scored in the box. Wes Brown is inconsistent and should be sold. Buying another defender would be a good option especially on the right where, other than Neville, no one is capable of claiming the spot. This was proven when Neville was out with injury. It's better to have dept so that we can have enough cover should any of them gets injured.
