another reason to push this thread upz... ;)

united chasing Vieira......

he was good, but like zizou, has passed his prime...

United like to save money by buying old players... some good (VDS), some crap... But we do need a tough tackler in midfield. Liam Miller, Sheasy both CMI.

I agree that Viera has passed his prime. At 29, how many more seasons can he play? Even if he can contribute at this age, probably he's not what he used to be. I would rather SAF buys someone in his mid twenties.

I think SAF wants a quick fix. Probably encouraged by the signing of VDS and his performance. I still dun know why he is not in for Guttuso. I think he is good.

Chelsea signed Sheva! :o If RVN is leaving, hope he have a good WC performance. Might convience Milan to pay more and go for him. :)

ya lor ... tell fergie not to sign the 'old man' la... his chances of going back to gunners is actually higher then to

Sometimes i feel chelsea's big spending has positive effect on EPL, coz they signed all big names from other leagues ... haha ... well at least this is imo ...

Shev plus Ballack became Blues boys. :sticktong

I thought Berbatov has already signed for Spurs. So, he's out of the speculation.

the best thing to happen is English FA puts a limitation on the number of foreign players per game, like in the olden days..... :sticktong

chelski will start buying more benches than players then.... :bsmilie:

Yeah this one I agree, I personally feel Gatuso is even better then Viera...he is comparable to Roy Keane but the problem is age is catching up on him.....but so did Sheringham when he first came to MU

Chelsea also signing old man. Ballack and Sheva. :bsmilie:

My point of view:
Juan Roman Riquelme Villarreal Midfielder, - Excellent but maybe too slow for EPL.
Franck Ribery Marseille Midfielder, - Very very promising young player. Can get him, best liao.
Johann Vogel AC Milan Midfielder, - Hopeless!
Esteban Cambiasso Inter Milan Midfielder, - Almost hopeless!
Kerlon Cruzeiro Striker, - Dunno who. lol
Tomasz Kuszczak West Brom Keeper , - Not bad.
Dimitar Berbatov Bayer Leverkusen Striker , - He is Spurs man liao.
Mahamadou Diarra Lyon Midfielder , - Good but overprice!
Fernando Torres Atletico Madrid Striker , - Interesting! Top SC.
Eidur Gudjohnsen Chelsea Striker - Old man, hopeless!
Michael Carrick Tottenham Midfielder - If Spurs agree to sell him....wow!
Rino Gattuso Milan Midfielder . - My choice, my man to plug the Keane gap.

I really think he can do well not only because he is good but he also played in the Scottish league before. Either Rangers or Celtic, i forgot which. I think Scottish league is similar to EPL, so he surely will fit in easily.

I still remember when he yell "Come On!!!" to Gary Neville if not mistaken in a close up shot in one of the champions legues match last time.....that was classic.....and SAF should listen to him "Come On!!!"....he himself said he wants to go to MU if given the opportunity

Eh...since chelsea recruited so many...maybe they can kuasa some of the surplus to MU...Essien, Makelele is still good...if not I think Damien Duff days are numbered liao and I am a big fan of him, unfortunately Ireland is not in the WC this time :p

Btw Tomasz Kuszczak cannot make it lah......he just kena scored by the opposition goal keeper (Columbian if I am not wrong) a few days ago......how can this happen man?......I will shot my self if the opposition goal keeper scored against me with more than 70 yards out :thumbsd:

Ah yes he said he wanted to play for Man Utd a few seasons back. Till now, SAF din really express any interest. If i'll him, wait till give up hope liao. If a player willing to play for you and your club and express his interest openly, i think he will be quite commited in his performances. Maybe Fergie dun see Gattuso in his plans. Plus he got the fighter in him.

Chelsea sure to off load some players but those you listed, i think they will stay for another season or so. This season should be ppl like Huth, Wright Philips and such to be KOed. Maybe Duff might leave.

Tomasz Kuszczak lol. I think i rememeber seeing him made some super saves last season. :bsmilie:

Franck Ribery would be an ideal buy but if SAF can't get him, he should buy Spurs' Aaron Lennon, an exciting winger who has pace and great skill.

wat about this?
sells alex ferguson and buy Guus Hiddink?

if ManU is going thru a transition, they might as well start frm scratch at the top..... no one is indispensable and bigger than the club they say

cheers

What happened to all the  supporters? This thread is slipping into oblivion. :(

United want Real Madrid to open extended Old Trafford

David Beckham could be heading back to Manchester United - for a mouth-watering pre-season friendly.

After missing out on Barcelona and AC Milan, United have now offered Real Madrid the opportunity to play at Old Trafford on August 8 or 9 in a game which will officially open the new corner quadrants at the Theatre of Dreams.
