(1) It would be good to have the rational behind having an age field...I guess it's good to keep personal information to a minimal.
(2) How would we verify that the buyer/seller is truthful in declaring his/her age? If people are discriminating the sale based on age, the how can we make sure the buyer/seller is really declaring his/her truthful age? He/she may declare an older age just to secure a sale...in the end it defeats the purpose.
Argh...what am I writing...pls TOTALLY IGNORE my previous post...haven't wake up yet.
Sometimes I guess it's also difficult to put an 'age' to the product on sale...some may be a 2nd hand sale (i.e. bought 2nd hand from another person), and also, the Condition Rating should be good enough--and more accurate, in this context. Some people do take good care of their equipment.

I support the idea. Declaring the age of the product is important. It will be helpful to the buyer and weed out bogus seller trying to make a quick buck.
