Olympus 12mm f/2
Panasonic 14mm f/2.5
I chosed them because of focal length and size, not for speed though.
Do you find the 4mm difference a bit close?
Haha.. the Panny 20mm f/1.7 isn't that expensive, and it's very sharp. I use it for probably 80% of my GF3 shots.![]()
Definitely not. Perspectives you get from the 12mm is different from 14mm.
Hi Kit,
Aside from the F, F 2-2.5 shld be fast anyway compare to the F3.5 etc.
What you mean by the perspective different though the len difference is 2mm.All the while,i see the diff of 3-5mm the picture looks the same
Can trouble you,
you can any photo to share resemble what you mentioned. easier to understand, for me.....tks
Just checking, dun you find abit of waste getting a 17.5mm,now you using a 25mm.
the diff not big, but you need to spend on a whole new set lens.
Isnt it not $$ wise if go for 14mm for below?
Some how,20mm with F1.7 I'll go for it.
After researching, I find having these lens with wide aperature can walk the world already.
range are
a super wide(7-14+-mm),for dramatic effect
a standard 20-40+-mm, indoor or potraits
and a 50-80+-mm, boken? or some kiddy activites or marco....
Combine cost for these babes... No to mentioned little here and there....
Maybe I shld start a poll on, "Do Shooter fully declare the full cost to their spouse". hahahahaha(joking only)
Not the best examples but these are the only ones I have in the office at the moment. 1st photo was shot with the 14mm and 2nd photo with thw 12mm. Both cranes although different but are similar in size (width wise).

Oh the 4mm does make a huge difference.
Haha OF COURSE we declare the full cost!
The panny 20mm is a good choice. This is equivalent to 40mm which is a standard focal length. Of course if you don't mind springing more $$$ there's the Pana-Leica 25mm.![]()
I am a user of the voigtlander 25f0.95 great lens IMHO, i would probably get the to be released 17.5mmf0.95 to go as a package
ƒmƒNƒgƒ“17.5mm F0.95
What you do to your spouse.. you treat her well huh....
I always got that lookon my wife face when I buy something like this...
she expect to be few hundres no more than 3/400, end up XXXX.
but after seeing the photo I taken she ok but i still guilty. :embrass:
Luckily this topic was not closed as sugguested by the "founder".:bsmilie::dunno:
I uses
20mmf1.7
45mm f1.8
Would denifinately go for 20mm or 25mm. One of the best in m4/3.
In the near future would add a 14mm or the 12mm. Hope 3rd party brands will come out this range too.
That price, though, wow... definitely gotta wait for reviews..
