Dear all,

i purchased a AIPO dry cabinet 68L Oct last year and the adapter give way recently.

Now waiting for a replacement from Ms Mok

Not sure if i am the only unlucky one facing this issue?

Thanks

Sorry to hear that. I just got the AIPO 48L about 2 weeks ago and everything is so far so good *touch wood*.

But my digital display is constantly toggling between 45 and 46 (I set it at 45%). Is this normal??

Yep based on the advice i got from Ms Mok and the seniors here...

:)

I got mine in December 2009. My adapter blew last Friday, and I received the new one in the mail this morning.

hmm... looks like the life span of the adapter is about a year??

Do you need to send back the spoilt one before they ship the replacement?

no problem with mine yet, 68EX and still running fine since Oct 2009.

Hi Guys,

I'll like to check if your cabinets have the LED lights inside turn on permanetly? Is there a way to turn it off?

Cheers

My adapter's lifespan was only a little over a month!

No, you don't need to ship the old adapter back.

I have same question like you last month. According to manufacture, this light unable turn off. Another solution is, they can help you take away LED light if you don't like it.

I bought my 68EX sometime in middle of last year. Also having the 45/46 toggling issue but touch wood, adapter is still fine.

No, there were no symptoms. One day, I walked in, and found that the LCD had gone off.

I plugged in a spare adapter that I had lying around - it's just one of those generic multi-voltage adapters, which I set to 5V, and it worked.

Yes, it's one of those that you can buy at most hardware stores. I think I bought mine from Sim Lim Tower. The adapter comes with different sized tips, to suit different devices.

Oh no, guess the weakest link is the adapter, I need to keep an eye on it.

But even if it gives way, the cabinet is airtight, so moisture not so easy to seep in.

You still can use back the 'old tip' , just cut away the 'wire with tip' from the faulty adapter and joined it to the new adapter. Just 10-20minutes job only.

cheers

so must find another adapter with 5watt to replace the connector tip with the old one?

Just find another adapter with the same specs or better ,
and just use back the "old tip with wire"

cheers

my power adapter for 68L Aipo reads as follows
model : GP-5R-4A
i/p ac 170 - 24Vac
